Ski area Val di Fiemme-Obereggen

The lift pass "Val di Fiemme-Obereggen"is valid in the five very difference ski areas Alpe Cermis, Alpe Lusia-Bellamonte, Lavazé-Oclini, Passo Rolle and the Ski Center Latemar. This provides ski fans with a great choice of all types of difficulty on a total of 111 km of piste between 860 m and 2,388 m altitude, interconnected with 50 lifts.

Beginners are best to start off on the sunny Southern slopes of Alpe Lusia. Professionals can find the steep run Olimpia in Alpe Cermis above Cavalese, where you cover 1,400 m altitude difference on a 7.5 km long piste. The Ski Center Latemar offers a total of 49 km of piste in Obereggen, Pampeago and Predazzo right in front of the fantastic peak panorama of the Latemar mountain range. Modern snow machines ensure that pistes can be prepared to award-winning standards. A large amount of red pistes makes this a great area for intermediates and pros. But the little ones will also find practice possibilities in the ski kindergarden "Yetiland", slightly older children can have a go in "Brunoland" where an animation programme and attractions such as a merry-go-round, bouncy castle and a rope bridge wait to be made use of. Brave skiers and boarders can find a snow park in Obereggen with a playground with half papie which is lit up in the evenings.

As of the 2016/17 winter season, there is a combination lift "Laner" with 6-person chair lifts and 8-person gondolas in the Ski Center Latema. With the lift, you can also easily reach the new 750 m toboggan run. A new mountain hut made of glass and wood with a panoramic terrace and bar invites you to take a break nearby the Oberholz lift also opened in 2016. The children's area "Cermislandia" in Alpe Cermis now has a new toboggan and tubby-run as well a new practise area for the ski school. The modern lounge bar "La Baita Tonda" welcomes you to warm up and relax after a long day on skis.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Night skiing Cornedo all'Isarco

In Italy you can turn night into day not only when celebrating après ski. Nearby Karneid in Obereggen you can indulge in skiing for longer than usual three times per week. The ski area Val di Fiemme-Obereggen offers floodlit pistes for night skiing. Apart from a 1.5 km piste for night skiing, you can use a 2.5 km piste for night-time toboganning. Snowboarders and freeskiers can also use the night snowpark with six illuminated obstacle. If you own a lift pass for the ski area Obereggen that is valid for several days, night skiing nearby Karneid is included.

Après ski Cornedo all'Isarco

Karneid is comprised of various smaller resorts, whereby there is no real party hotspot and only a limited gastronomical selection. Natural tranquillity and a cosy atmosphere in the traditional, local guest houses await you here. Besides the skiing, Karneid further offers relaxing nature experiences and some active sports options. Go on a hike to the castle of Karneid, or visit the first and only public observatory of South Tyrol in Gummer. The southern Dolomites are a great natural landscape, and are ideally suited for an extensive ski tour or snowshoe hike across the high plateaus. A guided tour on horseback or with a horse-drawn sleigh are also recommendable leisure time activities. If you prefer tobogganing, then have a go on the natural toboggan run in Gummer, which extends over 1 km and has a guest house at the end of it. Since the winter of 2016/17 the new combined lift Laner easily brings you to the new, approx. 750 m toboggan run that leads from the Almgasthaus Epirchner-Laner down to the valley station of the Absam-Maierl chairlift. In total, there are nine toboggan runs in the Egg Valley, which include a 2.5 km long illuminated run in Obereggen. If you are looking for some some fun and nightlife, nearby Bolzano has some bars, clubs and discos to visit.

Snowpark: Snowpark Obereggen Cornedo all'Isarco

The Snowpark Obereggen is located at the chair lift Reiterjoch and offers pretty much everything a freestyler's heart may wish for. 650 m lengths, 31 obstacles ranging from pole jams to a 4.5 m high half pipe which ranks among Italy's best, can be found here. The whole park is maintained by the F-Tech Crew daily. Apart from 10 kickers (up to a height of 15 m) and a boardercross, the latest addition is the pyramid "Starship" in the centre of the park. To keep going till the late hours, the brand new Night Snowpark at the Obereggen piste (2a) awaits shredders with a floodlit jib oasis. These are especially prepared once again for the evening as they accessible in the day, too. The little ones also get an opportunity to practise in the Kids Park. Free Wi-Fi is available in the park, rounding off the offer in Obereggen.
