Ski area Silvretta Montafon
The two lifts "Versettla" and "Valisera", as well as the two-person chair lift "Garfrescha" transport you easily into the ski area Silvretta Montafon. Silvretta Montafon was created in 2008, through the merger of the ski areas Silvretta Nova on the western valley side in St. Gallenkrich, Gaschurn and the Hochjoch on the eastern valley side in Schruns, Silbertal. It has been awarded for its quality on various occasions and offers excellent skiing on a total of 140 km of piste (incl. ski routes) - therefore being the largest ski area in the Montafon. Ideal piste conditions and high reliability for snow make a holiday here a real highlight.
Thanks to the favourable division between blue, red and black pistes, there is something for everyone: beginners have several practice lifts at their disposal, including at the Gaschruns valley station, and the easy pistes from Kapell to Grasjoch are also recommended. Families and children also get their money's worth. The children's areas with magic carpets spread throughout the ski area help the little ones to make their first turns in the snow in a playful way. The 1.6 km long "Piste 44", on the other hand, is reserved for the pros.
Secured deep snow and freeride areas offer plenty of variety away from the piste and the snow park at the Freda cable car is guaranteed to make freestylers' hearts beat faster with over 40 different obstacles.
The ski area Silvretta Montafon is especially suited for freeriders and pros. Action-lovers should not miss the five steepest pistes - known as the Black Scorpions - which are surely not for riders with weak nerves. Under the motto "Black Scorpions - fancy a little cold sweat?" you can experience the most difficult and steepest descents here.
With the "Montafon Brandnertal WildPass" lift pass, you have 62 ski routes and 224 kilometres of pistes at your disposal, offering a wide range of slopes for every level of skier (see Ski Region).
Après ski St. Gallenkirch
Also very popular with party animals is the café "Boba Stoba", which is located directly opposite the gondola station. Traditional and cosy restaurants provide for some great places to take a break and tank up on energy. Enjoy some tasty Voralberg specialities before you move on to the local nightlife.Towards the early morning hours, most night-owls venture over to the disco "Limo" with live music, motto events and après ski parties. Turn night into day on the dancefloor, right under the glass dome of this building.
At the Garfresha lift there is further night-tobogganing available on each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evening - also included in the lift pass! Finally, the rustic ountain huts with various snacks and hearty bread make for an attractive stop for letting the evening come to a perfect end.
For a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape, you should risk a tandem flight! In Gascurn, only 6 km away, various companies offer this unforgettable experience.
Snowpark: Snowpark Montafon St. Gallenkirch

Not only will you find numerous freeride possibilites but also a snowpark that offers all levels of experts the chance to touch the sky.
The Montafon Snowpark, next to the Freda cable car, impresses with eventful obstacles and exciting set-up.
