Ski area Salzburger Sportwelt

With the lift pass "Ski amadé" you have access to an unbelievable 760 km of piste, as well as 270 lifts in this huge lift pass union (see ski region)! The Salzburger Sportwelt is located in the centre of the “Ski Amadé” ski region and meets all the requirements for a great skiing holiday! In the Salzburger Sportwelt alone, there are 250 km of piste and 97 lift systems at altitudes between 600 - 2,188 m available.

The sprawling ski links Kleinarl/Flachauwinkl/Zauchensee and Flachau/Wagrain/St. Johann are the top destinations in the network and owe their notoriety to such events as the Alpine Ski World Cup in Flachau. Families, beginners and cross-country skiers will find suitable areas, whereas the pros will be drawn to Zauchensee. Diverse funparks await boarders, e.g. the Absolut Park in Flachauwinkl, which offers everything a boarder's heart desires: rail combos, half-pipe, jib park, the "chill house" and numerous events. First-class deep snow territory can be found on Monte Popolo or around the Zauchensee. With its opportunities, the Salzburger Sportwelt sets winter sports standards.

In Altenmarkt, the interconnected Radstadt-Altenmarkt ski area offers skiers approx. 17 kilometres of pistes and eight lifts. The gentle slopes and the practice slope directly at the resort makes the ski area perfect for families and beginners. On the other hand, in the neighbouring world cup resort of Zauchensee, a diversified ski area with pistes for all demands awaits the skiers - from the world cup slope to the carving slope to the mogul piste.

Furthermore, around 400 Wi-Fi hotspots are available in the entire ski area, in ski huts and at the lifts. You can easily update your friends at home with your latest pictures and greetings from the snow.

Après ski Altenmarkt

Those who go to the Salzburger Sport World for apres ski are in good hands. There is something for everyone here whether relaxing in a rustic mountain lodge, lapping up the party atmosphere or having a cosy cocktail, the choice is huge! Those who prefer it more low-key, can spend a quiet evening in the sauna or spoil themselves in the many restaurants offering culinary delights.

You can find both relaxation and action in the Amadé thermal bath. On an area of 30,000 m² you can find a sports- and entertainment pool, a looping slide as well as an extensive sauna complex.

Additionally, Altenmarkt and its surroundings offer countless opportunities to let off steam in the snow, such as e.g. on 4 toboggan runs. 2 of the runs are floodlit, so that you can look forward to evening tobogganing and letting the day come to an end in one of the quaint ski huts on the way. On the 47 km long winter hiking trail network, you can of course also explore the winter landscapes on foot, on a snow shoe hike, or during a coach ride. A variant entertainment and event programme round off the leisure time offers in Altenmarkt.

Snowpark: Absolut Snowpark Altenmarkt

A very special freestyle highlight awaits you at the Shuttleberg near Flachauwinkl in the Salzburg Sportwelt. The "Absolut Snowpark" offers all adrenaline junkies (from beginner to pro) top opportunities to run riot. It starts with the 5 times kicker line, which is located at the exit of the park's own 6-person "Absolut Shuttle". The "Spring Battle", Austria's most famous 'on mountain' Snowboard Contest, takes place on this line. Directly next to the kicker line there is the rail line, where riders prove their skills on a kinked rail, a rainbow rail, hand rail, various boxes, down rails, and a double kinked rail. Last but not least, creativity and spontaneity are demanded in the Jibpark, which is designed in skate park style.

Furthermore, the "Absolut Snowpark" comprises a 100 m long half-pipe with 4 m high walls, as well as a super-pipe, which is 160 m long and is located above the valley station "Family Shuttle" and was built according to X-Games and Olympics norms. Additionally, there is a "Chill House" in the park with more than just great tunes, video walls, and a lot of space to relax. In the two-storey house you will also find a mini skate ramp and a massive boulder, which will make a freestyler's dreams come true.

Further to the snow park in ski area Zauchensee, you can also find a fun slope, with different waves, steep curves, small jumps and more activities, perfect for the entire family.

Burton and the Absolut Park Team did not miss the opportunity to set "The Stash" in the landscape in Flachauwinkl. The concept is a very special one, because in harmony with nature, creativity is to be demonstrated here on partly hidden obstacles. The fun and easy-to-take obstacles can be ridden in a variety of ways. In addition, there is the "Lil' Stash" at the exit of the "Powder Shuttle", which is especially suitable for the little ones among the creative ones.
