Ski vacations Au - Tradition and Sunshine!
Au
Au lies in the upper reaches of Bregenzer Ache at an altitude of 800 m and is one of the most important tourist areas in Austria. Several leisure activities are available to guests in this region. The various, small and large ski areas in Begenzerwald, the numerous cross-country tracks and winter hiking trails are very popular here. Further possibilities include sleigh-rides in the moonlight, ice-skating or a torch hike through the snowy winter landscape. The restaurants, inns and gourmet also want to spoil you with local specialities.Bregenzerwald
The Bregenzerwald is located between Lake Constance and the Arlberg in the far west of Austria. The northern part of the region is hilly, towards the south the valley becomes narrower and the mountains rise more steeply. The Bregenzerwald has been strongly influenced by its Swabian and Swiss neighbours and old traditions are still upheld today. A good example of this is the "Cheese Route", an association of farmers, innkeepers, craftsmen and commercial enterprises dedicated to traditional cheese production. So don't miss out on trying the "Bregenzerwald mountain cheese". The region is also renowned for its guaranteed snow: Enjoy over 506 kilometres of pistes and the beautiful panorama of the Bregenzerwald!Travel Au
