Ski area Skischaukel Berwangertal

With the "Top Snow Card" lift pass you have access to 10 ski areas with a total of 214 km of piste and 87 lifts, including among others Garmisch-Patenkirchen on the German side of the boarder and Lermoos, Ehrwald and Mittenwald in Austria (see ski region).

Berwang, the highest resort in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena offers 36 km of piste and 12 lift systems (incl. magic carpet) due to the interconnection. Here you can leave the little ones to roam without actually loosing them out of your site from the hotel's terrace.

The sunny location on the alpine transition between the Zugspitze and the Lech Valley is breathtaking. The especially popular Sonnalm lift really lives up to its name and offers not only challenging pistes for wide carving swings. Snowboarders and freestylers can experiment in the small fun park at the Thanerllerkar lift.

The valley stations of the Sonnalm lift, the Egghof Sun Jets and the Biliglift offer free Wi-Fi hotspots in order to keep you connected to your friends at home.

Night skiing Berwang

Austria has numerous ski areas which offer illuminated pistes for night skiing. The local lifts usually extend their operation times until late in the evening. In Berwang valley, night skiing is also possible. The Egghof Sunjet lift in Berwang opens for night owls every Thursday from 18:00 - 21:15, and you can also go night tobogganing on the approx. 700 m piste. Apart from Berwang, night skiing is also possible in Lermoos. The approx. 500 m piste at the 8-person gondola Familyjet is open for night skiers every Wednesday from 18:00 - 21:00. Night skiing is a special experience every skier should try out.

Après ski Berwang

Berwang offers more laid-back apres ski. Charmingly situated, rustic lodges and great snack stations in the ski area or the valley invite you in for refreshment. In the resort itself there is a small apres ski mile with a few bars, Night-owls should try "Balu's Musicpub", which attracts many guests with live music during the winter season. In the evenings there are numerous restaurants and inns with local specialities on offer.

Once per week there is also the possibility to go tobogganing in the evenings. The run at Egghof Sun Jet is also illuminated for night skiing. During the day the 2.4 km long toboggan run Lermoos is more attractive.

But these are not the only leisure time options away from the piste: on the Berwang natural ice rink you can practice your pirouettes or duel in curling. On approx. 60 km of winter hiking trails you can explore the close surroundings of Berwang.

Snowpark: Betterpark Snowpark, Snowpark by MINI Berwang

In the approx. 15 km distant resort Ehrwald lies the professionally shaped "Bretterpark", centrally located in the ski area, right alongside the Klämmli piste. The park is reshaped on a daily basis. The Klämmli lift, which is the same length as the park, enables quick access to the lines. Various jumps (6 - 12 m), rails, boxes and much more, spread over 3 lines (small, medium and large) are perfect for beginners and pros alike.

The newly designed "Snowpark by MINI" runs under the motto "come out and play" and offers great practise areas for beginners and experienced riders. Obstacles, steep curves, rails, kicker and many further elements will provides loads of fun for freestylers.
