Bludenz
Bludenz is located at 587 m altitude and is the heart of the homonymous district of the Vorarlberg. The "Alpine City" is located perfectly for experiencing a diverse and entertaining ski holiday. The idyllic charm of the medieval castle town is noticeable in all streets and alleys, and the pedestrian area in the old part of the town is ideal for going on a shopping stroll. Relaxation seekers and families will feel especially at home here - but active winter sports enthusiasts are surely in the right place. Within only 5 minutes, the gondola takes you directly from the resort right into the ski area, on to the sunny plateau of the Muttersberg (1,402 m) and the view point on the Hohe Frassen, from which you can enjoy a breath-taking panorama. Thanks to this perfect location, you have direct access to a range of further ski areas in the Bludenz region, which includes the Brandner Valley, the Silvretta Montafon, or the Sonnenkopf at teh Arlberg.Away from the pistes, there is also a lot to discover. Go on hike across some of the plenty winter hiking trails, benefit from all those cosy huts and inns, visit the Alpine activity pools VAL BLU or go to the Fohren Centre Bludenz, where you can enjoy bowling, bars and laser-fun.

The district Bludenz with the homonymous capital is the heart of the five-valleys region Vorarlberg. This pretty, forested holiday region also counts the neighbouring Walgau and the Brander Valley to its hotspots, besides this Alpine City Bludenz. Also not far away and hence providing for a great day trip destination are the Montafon in the South, the Klostertal in the East and the Große Walsertal in the North.
