Ski area Damüls-Mellau

With the "3 Valleys Pass", you have a total of over 360 kilometres of piste in 31 ski regions in the Bregenzerwald, Großes Walsertal, Tiroler Lechtal, Rheintal, Laternsertal and Klostertal (see ski region)!

In the alpine part of the Bregenzerwald lies the Damüls-Mellau area, which is separated by the Mittagsspitze (2,095 m). On one side lies the former World Cup resort of Mellau, on the other the tranquil Walser village of Damüls. The ski areas are connected by lift systems. On around 99 kilometres of piste (including ski routes) - connected by 21 lift systems - you can experience a ski area for connoisseurs, which also offers sporting challenges (e.g. on the Hasenbühel chair lift).

The child-safe Achter chair lift and the Sunnegglift are equipped with covers and heated seats. The Mellaubahn also takes you to the ski area in glazed 10-seater gondolas over a distance of approx. 2 km.

The northern slopes of the Sunnegglift and the Suttisteilhang are really crisp - show what you're made of and then enjoy the wide pistes or venture down the longest piste (8 km) into the valley to Mellau.

Snowboarders have a huge selection of wide descents and freeriders will also find many ideal terrain sections with untouched powder slopes. The Burton Snowpark is a large "playground" for the freestyle faction.

Night skiing Damüls-Mellau

Night skiing in central Vorarlberg is centred on the Faschina-Fontanella ski area, around 3 km from Damüls. The Gugernülli lift on the outskirts of Faschina (1,486 m) has extended operating hours in winter for night-time skiing fun. From December to March, night skiing for young and old takes place here every Thursday from 6 pm to 9 pm. All holders of a valid lift pass ski for free on the floodlit piste. The floodlit piste is accompanied by atmospheric music, giving night skiing a particularly cosy touch. The night ski piste is easily accessible by ski bus from Damüls, Mellau and Au (for a fee if necessary).

Après ski Damüls-Mellau

There are numerous inns with large sun terraces and snow bars in the ski area! But even after the descent, the fun continues in the valley: the "Scharfe Eck" and the "Kuhstall" above it are meeting places for party-loving skiers and snowboarders. Or you can stop off at one of the umbrella bars. If you want a quieter end to the evening, there are numerous restaurants to choose from.

If you want to get some exercise in the fresh air, you can take a hike through the beautiful winter landscape. A total of 22.5 km of trails are cleared for you. Or dare a speedy descent on the 3.5 km long Uga natural toboggan run, which is floodlit in the evening.

Snowpark Damüls-Mellau: Burton Snowpark

Damüls, together with Mellau the largest ski area in the Bregenzerwald, advertises itself with the slogan "The snowiest village in the world". What comes to mind if you love freestyle and also enjoy gliding through deep powder snow? That's right, this area is not to be missed! Safe powder snow slopes and varied descents make the heart of every deep snow fan beat faster and attract boarders from the surrounding villages to the area.

The Damüls snowpark in the Bregenzerwald is the largest fun park in the region and offers freestylers a varied selection of over 45 features, including kickers, rails and boxes. The park is divided into different areas such as the Mainpark, the All-Mountain-Line and the Kids Park, which are suitable for beginners and pros alike. The All-Mountain-Line offers a continuous descent from the Uga mountain station to the Walisgaden valley station. Regular events and contests make the Damüls snowpark a lively meeting place for the freestyle community. Who can resist?
