The Salzburger Sports World is an ideal holiday destination for cross-country skiers. About 260 kilometres of, mainly demanding, trail can be used free of charge like the 48 km in Filzmoos, 30 km in Altenmarkt, 26 km in Flachau and another 26 km around Wagrain. As most of the tracks are connected with each other an access is quite easy.
The 10 km high run near Zauchsee is known to be sure of snow. Another hot tip is the high altitude trail on the Rossbrand nearby Filzmoos: After a comfortable ride with the Papageno mountain railway, you have access to the 12 km long trail on which you can enjoy the magnificent panorama and perfect snow conditions. Another highlight: everyone can try out biathlon on the Neubergerhof sun trail.
