Ski area Salzburger Sportwelt

With the “Ski amadé” lift pass you have access to an unbelievable 760 km of piste, as well as 270 lifts in this huge lift pass union (see ski region)! The Salzburger Sportwelt is located in the centre of the “Ski Amadé” ski region and meets all the requirements for a great skiing holiday!

In the Salzburger Sportwelt alone, there are 250 km of piste and 97 lift systems at altitudes between 619 and 2,188 m available. The sprawling ski links Kleinarl/Flachauwinkl/Zauchensee and Flachau/Wagrain/St. Johann/Alpendorf are the top destinations in the network and owe their notoriety to such events as the Alpine Ski World Cup in Flachau. Families, beginners and cross-country skiers will find suitable areas, whereas the pros will be drawn to Zauchensee. Diverse funparks await boarders, e.g. the Absolut Park in Flachauwinkl, which offers everything a boarder's heart desires: rail combos, half-pipe, jib park, the "chill house" and numerous events. This snow park also counts as one of the longest terrain parks in Europe with its 1.6 km length. First-class deep snow territory can be found on Monte Popolo or around the Zauchensee. With its opportunities, the Salzburger Sportwelt sets winter sports standards!

Additionally, there are 400 Wi-Fi hotspots at your disposal in the whole ski area, at huts and at the lift stations. Like this you can keep your friends at home updated with your newest photos and greetings from the snow!

The gondola "G-Link" between the mountains of Wagrain offers a quick transfer between the parts Flachau-Wagrain/Grießenkareck and Wagrain/Grafenberg-Alpendorf. The well equipped chairlifts almost all have a weather hood and heated seats, many also have a security bracket for children that closes automatically. The ski area is know to be an explicitly child- and family friendly resort - the area offers 11 ski schools, childcare facilities, ski-game-lessons for the little ones from 2 years, and children's ski lessons for children from 4 years. Further highlights are the "Winterwelt" Wagrain, the Alpine Coaster in Flachau as well as the "Teufelsweg" with adventurous folk figures.

Après ski Flachau

Having hardly left the piste, the numerous après ski opportunities will beckon you to continue the good times off the slopes. The bars and pubs at the valley station invite you in to chill out or party: now is the time for a cosy chat with friends or to meet new people. A visit to the "Dampfkessel" and the "Hofstadl" should be mandatory for every apres ski fan! Dance until the sun comes up in the "Yetis Partyhouse" and "Ema's Pub". Those who haven't had enough of the slopes can have dinner in one of the numerous restaurants and then head to the 1.5 km long floodlit piste at 8er Jet (open twice a week).

For leisurely hours away from the piste, there are tobogganing rides on one of the 3 illuminated runs, or the year-round Lucky Flitzer toboggan run, ice skating, or romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides through the wintry landscape on offer. A special highlight is a visit to the thermal baths "Therme amadé" in Pongau, where you can really lean back an let go. Relaxation can also be found strolling through the resort with its lovely shops and finding a seat in one of the cafés.

Snowpark: Absolut Snowpark Flachau

A very special freestyle highlight awaits you at the Shuttleberg near Flachauwinkl in the Salzburg Sportwelt. The "Absolut Park" offers all adrenaline junkies (from beginner to pro) top opportunities to run riot. It starts with the 5 times kicker line, which is located at the exit of the park's own 6-person "Absolut Shuttle". The "Spring Battle", Austria's most famous 'on mountain' Snowboard Contest, takes place on this line. Directly next to the kicker line there is the rail line, where riders prove their skills on a kinked rail, a rainbow rail, hand rail, various boxes, down rails, and a double kinked rail. Last but not least, creativity and spontaneity are demanded in the Easy Jibpark, which is designed in skate park style.

Furthermore, the "Absolut Park" comprises a 100 m long half-pipe with 4 m high walls, as well as a super-pipe, which is 160 m long and is located above the valley station "Family Shuttle" and was built according to X-Games and Olympics norms. Additionally, there is a "Chill House" in the park with more than just great tunes, video walls, and a lot of space to relax. In the two-storey house you will also find a mini skate ramp and a massive boulder, which will make a freestyler's dreams come true

Further to the snow park, in the ski area Zauchensee there is also a Fun slope, with several waves, steep curves, small jumps and more actions, that promise fun for the whole family!

Furthermore, there is a real highlight to be found at the Shuttleberg. Burton and the Absolut Park Team constructed "The Stash" in Flachauwinkl. The concept is special, as you can show your creativity on partly hidden obstacles, which were built as part of the landscape. The fun and easy obstacles can be used in many different ways. Furthermore, there is the "Lil' Stash" park, located at the exit of the "Powder Shuttles", which is especially great for the little ones.
