Ski area Gaissau-Hintersee

The ski area "Gaissau-Hintersee" offers a perfect piste selection for winter sports fans. Be it skier or snowboarder - the approx. 34 km of piste will surely not let boredom arise. Families and beginners will feel especially at home here. The ski area has been awarded as a "TOP Family and Beginner Ski Area".

Diversity is the main focus here: from sunny descents, via challenging deep powder snow slopes and mogul pistes, right up to Sami's magic forests for the little ones! Over and above that: a great snowpark for freestylers is also available.

With the complimentary ski bus, you can easily access the ski area. From Fuschl however, there are numerous individual ski lifts which can be accessed, and which are well suited for beginners. The Nochstein lifts in Koppl, for example, or the Schmiedhorn lift in Faistenau or the Thalgauberg in Thalgau.

Please note that the "Gaissau-Hintersee" ski area is currently closed and an opening in the 2019/2020 winter season is not yet certain.

Après ski Fuschl am See

In Fusch, relaxation is written with a capital letter. The resort that has its focus on "alpine wellness" may not offer a diverse nightlife, but its offer of leisure time activities is all the bigger. In the evening you can meet up for a drink at s'Beisl or enjoy a good meal.

You can choose from many options when wanting to spend an active afternoon. A small winter theme park is to be found approx. 10 minutes on foot. At Waldhofalm you can get on the mountain via a conveyor belt, and then slide down on tires, snow bikes or sledges. Children enjoy the kids slope with fairytale forest, while adults can compete at curling. The lake promade offers enough space for romatic winter walks with a view over the lake and the surrounding mountain scenerey. Alternatively you can enjoy the winter landscapes on a guided snow shoe hike or on a horse-drawn sledge right.

The Fuschlsee bath awaits with a special atmosphere: with a wonderful view of the lake you can use the sauna or enjoy a massage. A natural ice rink is also available right next to the bath.

Located centrally in between Salzburg and Bad Ischl, Fuschl is a good starting point to trips in broth cities which are only 20 km or respectively 30 km away. The Salzkammergut thermal bath in Bad Ischl invites you to relax in a saline bath and saline grottos, or in the "Relaxium" sauna are as well as a spa and beauty area.
