Ski vacations Jerzens - snowy dream land!

Jerzens

The former mountain farming village Jerzens (1,107 m) is situated in the front part of the Pitz Valley (Tyrol) and is inhabited by approx. 1,000 locals. The cosy winter sports resort offers charm and Tyrolean friendliness and emits a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. Besides the lovely ambience, there is also a lot to experience here: the Pitz Valley region offers an entertaining and diverse leisure time selection. This includes cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking, winter hiking, ice climbing, tobogganing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating, curling, paragliding, and much more.

If you are interested in the flora and fauna of the region, don't miss a visit to the nature park Kaunergrat. Events for all ages can be booked and participated in. Only 15 km away is Imst, where you can stroll or enjoy your time in a cosy café and watch the people going by. The lively and pretty town with its traditional houses and historic centre are really worth a visit.

Pitz Valley

Once an isolated tributary valley of the Inn Valley, the Pitz Valley has developed into one of the most important ski regions in Tyrol. Framed by the imposing 3,000 m mountains of the Oetztal Alps, the interior Pitz Valley is very much high alpine. A mellow landscape towered over by smooth mountains forms the valley's entrance; the Pitztal Glacier (3,400 m), which is second in Tyrol only to the Wildspitze (3,768 m), is found in the top of the valley. The resorts in the Pitz Valley attract guests with their straightforward, casual atmosphere and offer a modern infrastructure with many sports and leisure activities, numerous lodges and restaurants inviting visitors in for refreshments and entertaining apres ski!
