Ski area Salzburger Sportwelt

With the "Ski amadé" ski pass you have access to an unbelievable 760 km of pistes as well as 270 lifts in the huge ski association (see ski region)! The Salzburg Sportwelt is located right in the centre of the "Ski amadé" ski region and thus creates ideal conditions for a successful skiing holiday!

In the Salzburg Sport World alone you have 250 kilometres of pistes and 97 lifts at an altitude of 600 - 2,188 m at your disposal. The extensive Kleinarl/Flachauwinkl/Zauchensee and Flachau/Wagrain/St. Johann-Alpendorf ski areas are the top destinations in the association and are known for events such as the Alpine Ski World Cup in Flachau. Families, beginners and cross-country skiers will find suitable areas in all the resorts, while experts are mainly drawn to Zauchensee. Various fun parks await boarders, e.g. the Absolut Park in Flachauwinkl, which offers everything a boarder's heart desires. With a length of 1.6 km, this snow park is even one of the largest terrain parks in Europe. First-class powder snow areas can be discovered on Monte Popolo or around Zauchensee. Salzburg's Sportwelt sets standards in winter sports with its range of offers!

The manageable Flachauwinkel-Kleinarl house ski area offers the best conditions for families on 40 kilometres of pistes with guaranteed snow. Alternatively, advanced winter sports enthusiasts can put their skills to the test on seven kilometres of intermediate and two kilometres of difficult pistes or compete for their best time on the race piste and the speed course with timing. On the challenging Cross Run course, you can also undertake further captivating races.

With so much fun on the slopes, breaks are essential. Exhausted winter sports enthusiasts can regain their strength in the 260 alpine huts that dot the ski region, where they can enjoy traditional Austrian cuisine and isotonic or warm drinks and enjoy the unique mountain panorama on the sun terraces.

In addition, around 400 Wi-Fi hotspots are available throughout the ski area, in huts and at the lift stations. So you can easily send all the latest pictures and lovely greetings from the snow to your friends back home.

Après ski Kleinarl

Whether still in the ski area at the numerous huts and in the evocative umbrella bars or in a valley bar, a pub or in one of the discos - if you are looking for a varied après-ski, you have many places to go in Wagrain-Kleinarl. Party people in Kleinarl like to go to "K98 Après Ski Bar" to turn night into day.

For a quieter but no less eventful afternoon, or even as an ideal alternative programme to skiing, a wide range of activities can be found in Kleinarl and the surrounding area. To enjoy the snow-covered landscape without skis and snowboards, winter holidaymakers can go on snowshoe hikes in the partly untouched nature. For the somewhat less demanding variant of winter hiking, there are about 20 cleared kilometres of hiking trails available.

Action in the snow is promised, among other things, by a toboggan run on the 7,5 km long natural toboggan run or the 1,5 km long toboggan run at the Jausenstation Ennskraxn, which is almost mystically illuminated at dusk. A tour on the snow bike also promises adventurous variety. Traditionally, Kleinarl of course also offers the obligatory curling rinks for curling.

Cosiness and romance can be found, for example, on a torchlight hike, when the light of the torches makes the snow glisten, you do a few laps together on the enchanting ice rink in Wagrain or keep warm under the soft blankets on a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the fairytale white landscape.

Another highlight in the holiday region that awaits big and small "Schneehasen" is probably rather rare: If you've always wanted to build an igloo, your dreams will finally come true in Wagrain-Kleinarl with the help of igloo professionals.

To warm up properly after all the activities in the snow, a visit to the Erlebnis-Wasserwelt in Wagrain-Kleinarl is recommended. Kids will find lots of fun on the slides and in the children's pool, while adults can relax in the warm water pool with massage benches, in the steam bath or in one of the three soothing saunas.

Those interested in culture will be delighted to have the opportunity to take an exciting day trip to Salzburg, the city of Mozart. In just one hour you can reach the historic city with sights from the Middle Ages and the Baroque period.

Snowpark: Snowpark Absolut Park Kleinarl

Snowboarders and freestylers are at home in the Shuttleberg ski area in Flachauwinkel-Kleinarl, where they will find 12 km of free ride slopes as well as the "Absolut Park", the largest snow park in Austria. Winter sports enthusiasts from all over Europe flock to the snow park area, which is 1.6 kilometres long. About 100 versatile obstacles make every freestyle heart beat faster, no matter if professional or absolute beginner.

With seven different areas, every snowboarder and skier gets their money's worth. Whether on kickers, on a wide variety of rails and jibs, on the 100-metre-long half-pipe or on various obstacles - the tricks are numerous.

In order to not only watch the pros, but to be able to get involved in the park themselves, beginners find themselves in the Absolut School to learn their first jumps and tricks under professional guidance.

Special highlights of the park are the so-called "The Stash" and the "Chill House". At "The Stash", the obstacles are formed only from natural materials such as wood and snow. There are only six such terrains in the world. In the Chill House, freeskiers and snowboarders can, as the name suggests, relax outside or talk to other freestylers inside, watch videos from the scene or boulder on a wall.

The Ski amadé ski region offers winter sports enthusiasts another large selection of snow parks, fun slopes and Funcross trails under the name and motto "RIDE Ski amadé". In addition to the Absolut Park, boarders and freeskiers can enjoy nine snow parks.
