Ski area Stubai Gletscher
Since the expansion of the ski area, the 4-person chairlift "Daunjoch" has opened up numerous freeride possibilities in addition to a black downhill run. With a gradient of up to 60%, the "Skipiste 22 - Daunhill" leads over 1.8 km to the Gamsgarten. At Rotadl, the comfortable 8-person chairlift with weather protection hoods and seat heating takes winter sports enthusiasts comfortably up the mountain. By the way, the longest descent on the Stubai Glacier is 10 km long! The extensive run begins with the blue piste "Number 7" from the middle station of Gamsgarten and continues over the ski route "Wilde Grub'n" leading to and ending at the valley station on Mutterberg.
The ski area at the Stubai Glacier is one of the most child-friendly family ski areas in Austria and has already received several awards for it. An example of this is the children's ski school, which, with its specially trained ski instructors, offers the little ones a perfect start on the boards. A separate area is available for this purpose: whether a covered conveyor belt, a glacier hut for warming up or skiing with ropes, hats and colourful obstacles: everything is planned for the youngest skiers. Whether BIG Pistenbully rides, BIG Family Slalom, BIG Family Boardercross, BIG Family Fun Slope or BIG Family Schneeburg: there is no time for boredom in the family ski area. Those who take in a lot of the fresh air will also be hungry: with advance reservation, a children's restaurant offers delicious food so that you are prepared for the rest of the day. For the little ones who don't feel like skiing, there is also a kindergarten in the middle of the ski area.
Since October 2016, the new "Eisgrat" lift is up and running alongside the "Gamsgarten" lift. It takes about ten minutes for each cable car to reach the mountain station at 2,900 m altitude, and each cable car offers 24 seats along with free Wi-Fi, so be sure to share the views from the panoramic windows around you with your friends back home!
Snowboarders and freestylers also get their money's worth: the Stubai Zoo Funpark counts among the largest snowparks in the area around Innsbruck - you can expect a whole load of fun there!
Another highlight can be found near the Eisgrat mountain station: the Stubai ice grotto (admission not included in the lift pass). Experience fascinating insights into the world of snow and ice around 30 m below the ski slope. The free ski bus regularly and comfortably takes you from your holiday resort to the valley station of the glacier lifts.
With the "Stubai lift pass" you can ski on 95 kilometres of varied pistes, made accessible by 48 lifts (s. ski region). For stays of 5 nights or more, the Stubai lift pass is automatically included in the price.
Après ski Neustift
The Eisgrotto Stubaital is also suitable for a visit after a day of skiing. If you want to take off after the skiing day, you should visit the "Air-Parc im Stubay" right away! The indoor freestyle paradise offers parcours, a ramp for skateboards and several trampolines to let off steam.
Snowpark: Snowpark Stubai Zoo Neustift
"Stubai Zoo" lies in Austria's biggest glacier area at an altitude of 3,100 m directly at the Gaisskarferner. On multiple hectors surface beginners and pros can let off steam on diverse difficult lines.
Rails, kickers & Co. leave nothing to be desired. Depending on the time of year the set up varies, so that you can shred through out almost the entire year. Those who want to switch off and become members of the audience can relax in the park base on the sun lounger.
Families can look forward to an extended, 1,000 m course nearby Eisjochferner, kids can ski over waves, jumps and steep curves, accompanied by the mascots Mini B. and B.BIG.
