Patergassen
The tranquil village of Patergassen lies at around 1,095 metres at the foot of the Turracher Höhe in the heart of the UNESCO Nockberge Biosphere Park in Carinthia. The wonderful landscape here and in the surrounding area offers a wide range of winter activities.With around 240 inhabitants, Patergassen is a perfect holiday resort for all winter sports enthusiasts who prefer to end a long day of skiing in a relaxed atmosphere. The Falkert ski area, which is popular with families, is only around 10 minutes away by car. The winter sports resorts of Turracherhöhe, St. Oswald and Bad Kleinkirchheim are also not far away and offer a varied programme both on and off the slopes. In Bad Kleinkirchheim there are also the two thermal baths "Römerbad" and "St. Kathrein", which also contribute to the wellness factor of your holiday.
Nock Mountains
The national park Nock Mountains lies in Carinthia, in the south of Austria. Over an area of 184 km² you will find a wonderful mixture of the oldest mountain formation in Europe, as well as breathtaking nature and a wonderful fauna. Tradition still plays an important role in the region, however also modern influence is well considered. Winter sports fans will not only find a promising selection of spa offers but also an extensive sports region at altitudes between 1,078 m and 2,055 m. Besides a dense network of lift systems, cross-country tracks and piste, après ski is also an activity to enjoy whilst staying here.
