Ski area Kellerjoch
The little ones will love the "Kinderland Grafenast". Two magic carpets are located along a sunny, gently sloping practice piste, where kids can learn under the playful teachings of a ski instructor how one can safely make their way down the mountain.
While the area is great for kids, experienced skiers and snowboarders will definitely get their money's worth along the wide, well-prepared pistes. Advanced winter sports fans also have the chance to take on a black piste, of which starts at Hecherhaus. There are even a few great ski tours available to participate in for winter sports fans of all skill levels.
Nature-lovers can also enjoy gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains in the ski area as well as the Kellerjoch (2,344 m). 30% of the pistes in the ski area can be covered in artificial snow and guarantee plenty of fun on the piste for the whole family even with less natural snow.
Après ski Schwaz
The multitude of cultural monuments, museums and festivities have earned Schwaz the reputation of a cultural city over the last years. For example, after a day's skiing you can stroll through the historic old town of Schwaz to enjoy the medieval atmosphere and marvel at the buildings from the heyday of silver mining. If you want to dive even deeper into the history of the city, a visit to the Schwar silver mine is recommended.
Schwaz old town also has numerous restaurants, and the programme off the piste is rounded off by various events such as open air concerts, festivals, town and village festivals or traditional customs festivities.
Schwaz also has something to offer for shopping lovers: many beautiful things in the Schwaz city galleries are waiting to find a new owner.
And if you still have not had enough snow after having spend your day on the piste, you should definitely try out the newly built "Kellerjoch" natural toboggan run. The track is suitable for young and old and is conveniently connected to the ski resort's chairlift.
Snowpark: Snowpark Schwaz
