Ski area Ski- & Freizeit-Arena Bergeralm

The ski and leisure arena Bergeralm is a real family paradise, offering 29 km of descents and some great runs for night skiers. The gondola of the Bergeralm lift takes you comfortable to the middle station at 1,600 m altitude, where there also is a panorama restaurant and sun terrace available. Parents can let their children play in the "Ski Kinderland", which is to be found directly behind the double chair lift Hoher Turm Bergeralm. A children's piste, magic carpet and ski carousel will provide lots of entertainment for the little ones.

From the highest point in the ski area, the Nößlachjoch, there are various black and red pistes to choose from for a bit of a challenge. A medium-difficulty family piste also leads down into the valley. Further down, just below the gondola, runs the dreaded "Manni Pranger". This is one of the steepest prepared pistes in Austria and is named after the Tyrolean slalom world champion of 2009. It descends at a 46° gradient and is a real challenge even for well-experienced skiers.

This small ski area offers everything one could wish for: from steep gradient, via floodlight pistes, right up to kiddie paradise. This diversity has convinced the state of Tyrol and they have awarded the ski area with the Piste Quality Seal. An exciting ski holiday with some long days on the pistes is waiting for you here.

If you prefer using a sledge you should try the 5 km toboggan run that is also illuminated.

Après ski Steinach am Brenner

Besides the magnificent ski arena, Steinach also offers a number of other activities to try. Cosy walks and also more extensive hikes to the alms are possible in both winter and summer. On bad-weather days families can spend the time in the indoor pool complexes, or practice some pirouettes on the large ice hall. Curing is also possible here, all accompanied by some entertaining music.

Culinary interested can try some local specialities, such as e.g. "Schlutzkrapfen" in the local restaurants and inns in Steinach. Pastry pockets filled with spinach or mushrooms are highly recommend to try. The more cosy option for going out in the evenings, is the "Papa Chico" bar. If you don't mind a slightly longer journey, you can also venture over to Innsbruck to experience their nightlife scene.

Snowpark: Kinder Funpark Steinach am Brenner

A further speciality of this ski area Bergeralm is the funpark specially designed for children. In "Noah's Kinder Funpark", the little ones can practice their moves on rails, boxes and corners in miniature format. So much child-friendliness overcomes the fact, that unfortunately there is no other snowpark (for adult) available in this ski area.
