Ski area Sölden
A 2-day lift pass includes the "Sölden" lift pass, which opens up 144 kilometres of first-class pistes at an altitude of 1,350 - 3,340 m, served by 31 modern lifts. Sölden has become famous above all for its two glacier ski areas Rettenbach and Tiefenbach, which with their three peaks Tiefenbachkogl (3,309 m), Innere Schwarze Schneid (3,370 m) and Gaislachkogl (3,058 m) are used by "normal" ski fans as well as national ski teams to kick off the season. Beginners get their money's worth in the Innerwald and on the Giggijoch, while advanced skiers can choose from a variety of blue and red pistes throughout the ski area. Professionals are drawn to the challenging pistes on the Gaislachkogl ski mountain.
There are two ski areas in the immediate vicinity of Umhausen where family-friendliness is particularly important. In the "Niederthai" ski area, ski holidaymakers can expect a total of 4 kilometres of pistes, 3 T-bar lifts and a practice lift. The "Hochoetz-Kühtai" ski area, on the other hand, boasts 85 kilometres of pistes with guaranteed snow as well as a kids' club, ski school, children's course and ski kindergarten. Parents and children feel equally at home here and can enjoy their skiing holiday to the full. Other small but fine ski areas can be found in Gries and the somewhat larger Vent with a total of 16 manageable kilometres of pistes.
So whether you are a family, beginner, advanced or professional: everyone will find the right ski area for their skiing holiday around Umhausen!
Night skiing Umhausen
In the ski areas "Sölden" and "Obergurgl-Hochgurgl", skiing fun does not end early on some evenings. In Sölden every Wednesday, from January to March, night skiing takes place on four illuminated and freshly groomed slopes. Those who have already unbuckled their skis can enjoy the unique night ski show with ski acrobatics, live performances and subsequent fireworks.
On Tuesdays you can explore an 8 km long piste in Obergurgl by floodlight and experience a stage show of a special kind. In Hochgurgl the night owls have the choice between a red piste illuminated by the floodlight or spectacular toboggan run action.
Après ski Umhausen
For those who prefer to relax, there are numerous winter hiking trails or the nearby thermal spa "Aqua Dome" in Längenfeld.
Additionally, there is also a lot to experience culturally in and around Umhausen: The "Ötzi Dorf" in Umhausen, for example, offers an interesting journey 5,000 years back into the past. From one of the viewing platforms of the Stuibenfall you can enjoy an unforgettable view when it is illuminated almost mystically during the evening hours.
Party atmosphere can be found in the umbrella bars as well as in the many clubs, bars and pubs in the nearby party metropolis of Sölden. The "Fire and Ice" or "Katapult" are just a few of the big names among the numerous party hubs. Here really every après-ski fan will find what they are looking for!
Snowpark: Area47 - Snowpark Sölden / quattro Snowpark Obergurgl Umhausen
In addition to the freeride and deep snow areas, the "Area47- Snowpark Sölden", the "quattro Snowpark Obergurgl" and other fun parks and slopes, spread over the other ski areas in the Ötztal valley, with ramps, rails and jumps, will provide action-packed variety on the piste, which snowboarders in particular will be delighted about. In addition, music and deck chairs round off the freestyle fun.
