Ski vacations Fernie- skiing at its best!

Fernie

The Calgary international airport offers a regularly operating shuttle service (3.5 h). The quaint, rustic town is named after the discoverer of a sizeable coal deposit and spread authentic Western atmosphere. Fernie is considered the most snow-secure region of Canada and is an insider's secret for deep-snow skiing. Per season, fine, powdery snowfall often reaches up to 9 m. The extensive, varied terrain, with 5 large bowls, offers over 100 runs and many untouched deep-snow slopes for a great time of skiing. Whoever is searching for glitz and a lively apres ski setting should perhaps look elsewhere. In Fernie, concentrating on skiing and other outdoor activities, such as dog-sledding or snow mobile tours, is the main purpose of the trip. Roundabout the historical centre, cosy cafes, bars, and diverse restaurants can be found.

Rocky Mountains

The "ski-in/ski-out" Fernie Alpine Resort lies at an altitude of 1,068 m in the spectacular Canadian Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, 5 km away from the main town of Fernie.
