Ski area Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler offers its guests the largest ski area in North America. Both Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain enthral with a countless variety of pistes. Since 2008, the Peak-to-Peak gondola connects both mountains at the height of the middle stations. With 4.4 km, this gondola has the world's longest span and offers a grandiose view of the surrounding mountains. Here is where you get your money's worth!

Blackcomb Mountain is especially versatile. For beginners, the "Family Zone", with its separately marked areas, allows for undisturbed learning. Children can also find an enchanted tree castle in the forest. Naturally, experts can be sure to find their perfect ride as well. Extreme skiers can dare to take on the world famous double diamond run "Couloir Extreme"

Have faith in the saying, "What you can see – you can ski", which is different than Alpine skiing, and cruise through the forests between prepared pistes. On top of that, beginners and pros will be enthusiastic about the three perfectly shaped fun parks. For dining options, check out the some of the rustic mountain cabins and spacious restaurants with typical Canadian service.

Après ski Whistler

No wonder that the American magazine, "Condé Nast Traveller", named Whistler the most attractive location in their yearly survey about the best ski and holiday locations in North America. After an exciting day of skiing, numerous possibilities can be found to round off your evening successfully. By foot, you can reach an enormous variety of restaurants, shops, and apres ski activities.

The Meadows Park Sports Centre offers a swimming pool, fitness opportunities, squash, and ice skating. For those who are feeling adventurous, zip-lining, a ropes course, bungee jumping, snowmobile rides, snowshoe hiking, dog and horse-drawn sleigh rides, and much more are available to choose from. For a boisterous night life, approx. 20 bars and pubs, often with live music, can be found. Not only is the location prizewinning, but the individual bars here are as well. Right at the entrance to the Whistler Village Gondola, you can find the "Garibaldi Lift Co. (GLC)", the "Forbes Traveller" magazine's voted best ski bar in North America.

Whoever prefers a more relaxing evening can be recommended to visit the excellent Solarice Spa or Scandinave Spa Whistler. Not the be missed as well is the Fire & Ice show at the valley station, which is organised by the Whistler ski school every Sunday evening. The spectacular leaps and bounds through rings of fire are free to be marvelled at.

Snowpark: Snowpark Nintendo Terrain Park Whistler

Whistler offers various snowparks, which are unlike any others in the world. With the Nintedo Terrain Park and the Habitat Terrain Park, the Highest Level Park, as well as the Big Easy Terrain Garden and School Yard, and also a boardercross run, all levels of skill are catered for. The Glacier Terrain Park is only open during summer. Countless obstacles, rails and kickers promise to provide all sorts of fun. The pros of the cable cars shape the parks daily to the highest level of perfection. Belonging also to the park is the Nintendo Super Pipe, which since the 2010 Winter Olympics, has become world-famous. Each year, multiple events take place with the stars of the ski and snowboard scene- a further indication of the excellent quality of the park.
