Ski area Courchevel
The numerous green and blue pistes offer a wonderful opportunity to get to know and love skiing. These can be found above all in the lower section, which is mainly in the forest area and is therefore protected even in windy and snowy conditions. However, advanced and professional skiers will also get their money's worth in the upper part of the ski area: the red and black pistes offer plenty of opportunities, variety and fun. For a real adrenaline rush, we recommend the descent on the steep slopes of the Saulire massif. The "Family Park" snow park at the Verdons lift is also very suitable for beginners. There is also the Western Ski Park at the Ariondaz lift for younger guests.
For advanced and very good skiers, we recommend upgrading to the "Les 3 Vallées" ski pass (see ski region).
In the tourist offices and at some mountain railway stations, you have access to WLAN hotspots. You can also use the "Les 3 Vallées App" to find out about piste and ski lift openings/closings and the local weather at any time. Would you like to meet up for lunch at the hut? Use the app to share your location and see exactly where your friends and family are in the ski area. You also receive information and safety notifications directly on your smartphone and, in the event of an accident, the nearest emergency services can be alerted with just one click.
Night skiing Courchevel
France is known for its wide range of pistes and panoramic descents. The 3 Vallées in particular are characterised by their size and variety, so night skiing is a must in the largest interconnected ski area in the world. This is possible in the Courchevel ski area. Every Wednesday, the "Verdons" piste and the Familypark are floodlit for guests until late in the evening. Skiing under floodlights is a very special experience and is even accompanied by music in the Familypark, which is played throughout the evening.Night owls can reach the piste and the floodlit Familypark on the 8-seater Verdons gondola lift. The "Les Verdons" restaurant provides refreshments in the evening during the extended operating hours and even beyond.
Après ski Courchevel
In the elegant Courchevel 1,850 you will find shopping galleries, gourmet restaurants, fitness studios, wellness facilities and much more. There is also plenty on offer for nature lovers here, such as snowshoe hikes, exploring the surrounding area on a total of around 17 km of winter hiking trails or descending the two-kilometre-long toboggan run from Courchevel 1,850 to Courchevel 1,550, which is floodlit until 7:30 pm.
Snowpark: Family Park Courchevel
Courchevel, located in the "Les 3 Vallées", is a good address for freestyle fans of all kinds with its "Family Park". Located on the "Verdons" piste, the park offers a decent range of basic equipment so that both beginners and advanced riders get their money's worth. Big air bags, rails, kickers, boxes, boardercross - everyone has fun here. A very special highlight is the park's own floodlight system, which allows riders to hone their skills even at night.
If the "Family Park" doesn't offer enough options, Courchevel also has a cross course, the Wood Park with easy, medium and pro lines and the new slalom course. For children, there is also the "Western Park", which is designed as cowboy and Indian country and provides lots of fun for the little ones.
There are also plenty of other options for freestyle fun throughout the 3 Vallées region. In Méribel, the spectacular "DC Area 43 Snowpark" awaits you and Val Thorens' local park has nothing to hide either.
