Ski vacations Le Grand Bornand - piste fun with tradition

Le Grand Bornand

The small community of Le Grand Bornand lies at an altitude of 1,000 m in the La Clusaz region, at the foot of the Aravis Massif. The cosy town has been developed in the past few years, yet has still retained its original charm. The former farming village continues to enchant with its architecture. The modern buildings have been significantly influenced by past designs, creating a unique harmony between historical and modern architecture. This atmosphere also applies to the restaurants and bars, which complete the town. The awesome mountain landscape surrounding the small town is also impressive. The peaks of the Col des Annes, Pic du Jallouvre, Pointe Blanche and the Col de la Colombière are truly breathtaking.

Massif des Aravis

Large glens, mountain plateaus, hanging valleys and rough rock faces - this is what the landscape looks like surrounding the 20 km long Aravis Massif. In the middle of Savoy, the massif can be found between the Lac d'Annecy and the Mont Blanc. Around the massif with its peak, the Pointe Perc on a height of 2,753 m, you can find four authentic mountain villages that have kept their charm until today. Known as the cradle of Reblochon cheese, the region is mainly characterised by farming. In this region, tradition and modern age live hand in hand. The four resorts ast the Massif des Aravis have a tradition of enticinf winter sports fans with varied ski areas and freeride possibilities.
