Ski area Les Orres

In Les Orres you can fall out of bed and on to the piste, and enjoy approx. 100 km of these, which are all included in the lift pass "Less Orres". The valley run takes you right back in to the resort. The resort itself is located 1,550 m altitude, which is already quite high, and the ski area extends up to 2,720 m, offering a beautiful panorama view of the most mighty Alpine peaks in France. Four mountains wait to be explored by skiers here, offering finest blues and reds, and also some very challenging black runs. All pistes however, can be managed with the according experience. This region lives up to it's motto "skiing with quality" - which means fun in the snow on 36 pistes in total, of which over 50% can actually be covered with artificial snow.

Parents can soundly leave their 3 to 5-year olds on the practice slope in the valley, which is fenced off from the rest of the area. The 6 to 12-years olds in the meantime can get more confident on the beginner run. Ski and snowboard cracks can run riot in the snow park, which offers a number of rails and kickers. Boardercross is also available. Therefore the family ski area Les Orres has really something to offer for everyone.

Furthermore, the ski region offers over 120 Wi-Fi hot spots, for free.

Après ski Les Orres

After a day on skis, or maybe even as an alternative to such, you can go tobogganing. A highlight is the 700 m long toboggan run "L'Orrian Express", which runs down a rail track. In the evenings it is illuminated and therefore is a special experience in the evening hours. If you prefer to move along on foot, Les Orres offers greats tours with magnificent panorama views of the surrounding mountains. Approximately 15 km of winter hiking trails and many snowshoe tracks start in the resort and lead around the Durance valley.

If you'd rather prefer to explore the area sitting down, there is also the opportunity to take a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh. A further highlight for families with small children is the ice rink in resort, which is ideal to get kids used to ice skates. Viewing the idyllic resort from above is also possible, as paragliding is offered here as well.

And if all this is still not enough, a visit to the tourism information office in the resort centre can give you more ideas for leisure time activity. Every Saturday the new weekly programme is displayed here, announcing events, parties and further activities.

Nightlife in Les Orres tends to be rather quiet, however there are still a number of places to go to enjoy a good meal or a hot chocolate or even dance for a while. For dinner you should try cheese fondue or raclette in the "La Bouscatière" or also some classical French cuisine in the ""Côté Terroire". Exquisite wines and schnapps are offered in the "Winter Lounge" together with tasty Tapas. In the lower part of 1650 you can especially find the local bars. Beer, cocktails and wine are served in "A Grande Cabane" for instance. Afterwards you can go partying e.g. in the "Le Sport" in the resort centre, where is also a DJ who ensures some juicy beats.

Snowpark: Snowpark Les Orres Les Orres

The snow park in the Les Orres area offers some unusual trails on a considerable area. In addition to the "blue line", which is also suitable for beginners due to its medium level of difficulty, the more experienced free stylers can also prove their skills on the "red line", which is classified as difficult. The park offers boxes, rails and kickers up to 6 m high.
