Ski area Vallée de Méribel
Being one of the highest regions in the Alps, the ski region promises fantastic snow conditions and surety. Even at the beginning of May skiing and boarding is seldom a problem. The 1 km long run "Les Bosses" in Méribel is known to be one of the most challenging in the entire region and requires a fair amount of courage. Well exercised skiers will find a challenge and also the possibility to test their stamina.
For pros on skis and snowboards, we recommend the lift pass upgrade to the "Les 3 Vallées" (see ski region). More than 600 km of prepared pistes and 160 lifts are available here and offer pure fun in the snow.
With the ‘Les 3 Vallées App’, you can also find out about piste and ski lift openings/closings and the local weather at any time. Would you like to meet up for lunch at the hut? Use the app to share your location and see exactly where your friends and family are in the ski area. You also receive information and safety notifications directly on your smartphone and, in the event of an accident, the nearest rescue service can be alerted with just one click.
Night skiing Méribel
Skiing by night is an experience every skier or snowboarder should try at least once in their lifetime. In France there are numerous night ski areas or parts of the piste with extended opening hours. In the largest ski area of the world, the 3 Vallées, night owls can also turn night into day. Every Wednesday, the ski area Courchevel extends the 8-person gondola's opening hours into the evening so that the guests can go night skiing. The piste "Verdons" as well as the family park are illuminated by floodlight, and in family park, night skiing is even accompanied by music. The restaurant "Verdons" extends its opening hours according to the lifts' operation time and serves food and drink until late in the evening.Après ski Méribel
Of course in Méribel you can also continue off-piste sports, such as paragliding, ice climbing or dog sledding. In Méribel you can also go snowshoe hiking, ice skating, bowling, snowmobiling and much more.
A special experience for the whole family can be had during night tobogganing at the "Himalaya by Night". Here you can ski down the green Himalayan piste to the sound of music, enjoy the wonderful view of Meribel and Mottaret and drink a hot chocolate at the bottom to round off the evening.
Snowpark: DC Area 43 Snowpark Méribel
Your lift pass gives you access to Méribel's unique snow parks. In the "Elements Park" there are various lines for freestylers of all levels. Beginners in particular will enjoy trying out their tricks on the various obstacles such as boxes, rails and jibs as well as the boardercross course.
Located directly at the "Plattiere 2" lift there is a special highlight of the region: DC Shoes decided to created an entire snow park in Méribel. They were supported by the shaper team of Hill Technics, which includes the European X-Games shaper Benjamin Ravanel. The whole park was designed and shaped in accordance to the highest technical standards. At an altitude of 2,300 m and covering a length of 1,200 m, the park offers 40 rails and 45 kickers in all different levels of difficulties (green, blue, red and black). Further there is a special jib zone with many creative obstacles, a "BagJump" air bag, a boardercross track, as well as two half-pipes, which are only suited for experts. With The "DC Live Park" function you can have your tricks filmed so you can analyse them later on. In the chill zone you can wind down while enjoying some good music.
