Cross-country Pra Loup

Information on cross-country skiing

36 km Cross-country trails (in km):

The neighbouring village of Val d'Allos and Pra Loup together offer a total of 18 kilometres of cross-country trails. Of these, 4 kilometres are particularly suitable for beginners. Experienced cross-country skiiers will enjoy the remaining 14 km of trails, which have a demanding and difficult level. The trails run through a beautiful landscape and partly lead alongside the Verdon river.

If you're planning to take longer tours we recommend you visit the surrounding resorts where you can find an even larger selection of cross-country trails. For example, Larche at the Italian border, offers the biggest cross-country trail network in the surrounding area, with 30 km of trails. Beginners will find a total of 9 km of green and 4 km of blue routes for skiing in classical style. On 15 km of red and 25 km of blue trails, the level of difficulty is more demanding and you can also ski in skating style. Starting in the little village of St. Paul sur Ubaye, you can look forward to several trails running parallel to the wild river Ubaye which leads through the snowy valley. Cross-country skiers can look forward to 7 km of easy trails and 21 km of ambitious ones.

It's not only the surrounding area, but also the sunny location which make the region a wonderful experience for fans of Nordic skiing.
