Ski area Le Grand Domaine

With the "Le Grand Domaine" lift pass, you can choose from 165 km of pistes of various categories with a difference in altitude of 1,153 metres. The ski area is located below the Col de la Madeleine, between the Massif du Cheval Noir and the Massif de la Lauzière. By connecting the ski areas of Valmorel and St. François-Longchamp, an attractive ski circus has been created, which is perfectly served by 47 lift systems. The extensive ski area (1,250 - 2,403 m) is ideal for day trips, while the cosy ski huts invite you to stop for a bite to eat.

The 165 kilometres of piste are mainly of easy to medium difficulty, but there are also challenging descents, mogul pistes and countless deep snow variants. The most difficult descent in the Valmorel ski area is the 3 km long "Le Mottet" with a difference in altitude of 600 metres.

Valmorel is also home to "The Pirates Snowpark" with tables, slides, jumps and a boardercross course. At the end of the Rocher Blanc lift in St. François-Longchamp, freestylers will also find the "Rail Park" snow park with a selection of jumps, kickers and, of course, various rails.

The large beginners' area with extra slow lifts and the children's village are both exemplary. The little ones are looked after here when the grown-ups want to ski alone. Thanks to its ideal location, the area is guaranteed snow until mid-April.

Après ski Valmorel

For a lunch break or on the way down into the valley, it's worth stopping at one of the cosy huts in the ski area. Once in the village centre, there are numerous cafés with sun terraces where you can enjoy the afternoon sun.

The quiet villages don't offer a lively après ski scene: a holiday in Le Grand Domaine means winter sports, relaxation, resting in the sun and letting your mind wander. End the evening in a cosy bar or cinema. Before that, however, we recommend a visit to one of the many small restaurants. There you can treat your taste buds to Savoyard and international specialities.

A varied programme of sports, games and shows is offered on site during the season. Other activities include tobogganing, ice climbing, hiking (approx. 60 km of trails) and snowmobile and horse-drawn sleigh rides.

Snowpark: Rail Park & The Pirates Snowpark Valmorel

The "Rail Park" in St. François-Longchamp is a great meeting place for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. Adrenaline junkies and freestyle enthusiasts alike get their money's worth here. The park offers a variety of features such as kickers, rails and boxes that provide plenty of action and fun. Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to freestyle, the rail park in St François-Longchamp provides the perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments and plenty of fun on the piste.

For those looking for further freestyle adventures, Valmorel offers "The Pirates Snowpark" with a wide range of additional freestyle elements. There is also a boardercross course for exciting races and a pirate village with various attractions built especially for children.
