Ski area Alpe d'Huez

The "Grand Domaine Ski" lift pass gives you access to the Alpe d'Huez ski area, which is mainly located on the south/south-west side of the "Massif des Grandes Rousses" and therefore guarantees plenty of sunshine. The ski area (1,125 m - 3,330 m) with its 250 km of pistes and 69 lifts is considered to be particularly snow-sure: 80 per cent of the pistes are above 1,800 m!

The most spectacular piste, "La Sarenne", starts at the Sarenne Glacier and runs along the front of the Pic Blanc and from there down into the valley. With 16 km and a difference in altitude of 1,730 m, this is one of the longest pistes in the world! The 3 km long, deep black steep descent "Le Tunnel", which leads from Pic Blanc through a tunnel onto a mogul piste, is reserved for experts only. Not quite as tricky, but still challenging, are the red pistes at the height of the "Dôme des Petits Rousses". The "Bartavelles" run in particular offers a breathtaking view over the landscape and neighbouring valleys, often in particularly good snow conditions, past imposing rock faces. Beginners will find perfect practice slopes on the outskirts of Alpe d'Huez and Vaujany. Freestylers are also in good hands here: The fun park at the "Le Lac Blanc" chairlift is only recommended for real experts, while the alternative fun park "Montfrais" is easier and is great for your first jumps and tricks.

Snowpark: Snowpark Alpe d'Huez Vaujany (Alpe d'Huez)

There are two different snow parks in the entire Alpe d'Huez area. The beginners' park offers various boxes, rails, slides and woops. Beginners as well as advanced riders can let off steam here and improve their skills.

The second park in the ski resort is more suitable for expert freestylers. It is located near the "Troncon" ski lift. Long big air kickers are waiting to be conquered here. The park is also equipped with various slide bars, a wave rail, street rail, C-box, hip, two totems, a boardercross course and a halfpipe, although its existence depends on the current amount of snow. The kickers and rails are divided into green, blue, red and black levels of difficulty. Advanced boarders in particular will get their money's worth here.

In addition, two different boardercross courses and a large airbag, which can be ridden on with a tyre, offer fun for families and professionals.
