Ski area Raupennesthang - Altenberg
The pleasantly manageable Altenberg ski area offers around 2 kilometres of pistes for winter sports fans of all ages. The double drag lift takes you up the Raupennesthang and the little ones can take the child-friendly magic carpet for their first attempts on skis.
Of course, you can also go tobogganing and snow tubing in the ski area. So the whole family can enjoy wonderful fun on the slopes here - all in the beautiful landscape of the Ore Mountains! Other ski lifts and slopes in the area can be found in Rehefeld-Zaunhaus, Schellerhau or Oberbärenburg.

Night skiing Altenberg
For night owls and winter sports enthusiasts who are still fit in the evening, the Altenberg ski resort in the Ore Mountains offers a very special highlight: the Raupennesthang in Altenberg invites you to enjoy popular night skiing in the evening. The Altenberg T-bar lift then takes skiers up the piste by floodlight. The lift is open every day except Sundays until 10 pm. This guarantees that young and old can ski into the night on the 800 metre long main slope. Winter sports enthusiasts of all abilities can try out night skiing. The slope of the night skiing area is manageable and therefore accessible to everyone. After all, the track is 1,413 metres long and has 18 bends, on which bobsleigh, luge and skeleton professionals also compete.

After so much activity, you can relax in the local Raupennest health centre. The centre has a sauna and pool area with a whirlpool, outdoor pool and air massage pool as well as a baby area.
