Ski area Garmisch-Classic, Zugspitze

With the "Top Snow Card" you have access to a total of 87 lifts and 213 kilometres of pistes between 732 m and 2,720 m, including in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald and on the Austrian side in Lermoos and Berwang (see ski region).

With the "Twin Ticket" you have access to the Classic ski area and the Zugspitze. The ski area is also known for its events such as the FIS World Cup and the annual New Year's Jump.

In Garmisch-Partenkirchen you have direct access to the Classic ski area (Hausberg, Kreuzeck and Alpspitz/Ostenfelder). You will find a total of 40 km of ski slopes and five snow-covered valley runs in these ski areas. On the Hausberg, a varied ski area awaits you with the famous and very challenging, approx. 3.5 km long Kandahar downhill run. The longest run in the ski area is the valley run from the Osterfelderkopf with a length of 8.8 km and 1,330 m difference in altitude.

The Zugspitze offers 20 km of well-prepared pistes as well as a deep-snow El Dorado with freeride zones. Gentle ski meadows on the Zugspitzplatt ensure that even less experienced skiers do not have to miss out on the snow-sure skiing pleasure on Germany's highest peak.

Après ski Grainau (Zugspitze)

After a day on skis, there are further possibilities to stay active. Toboggan fans will enjoy the child-friendly natural toboggan slope (approx. 1,5 km) directly in Dorf am Gschwendt, a hire shop can be found close by. For more toboggan fun, the neighbouring Garmisch-Partenkirchen has a total of 5 km of toboggan runs available.

The natural ice rink in Grainau invites with ice skating and curling possibilities. With a bit of luck,, Lake Eibsee will be frozen so that you can go and have a walk or slide on the natural ice. Guided snow shoe tours start at the Grainau Kurhaus where two different routes lead you through the fairytale region of the Zugspitze. For those who have the Grainau Card, this experience is for free.

In order to relax you like to go for a swim? Then a visit to the spacious spa Zugspitzbad Grainau will be perfect for you. The little ones can have a splash and the adults have time to relax.

To end the day with a highlight, let your palate enjoy the tasty Grainau cuisine. The guest houses and restaurants serve fresh fish from Lake Eibsee, must-try "Brotzeitbrettl" with bread, cheeses and cold cuts, Bavarian roast pork but also meals from the Haute Cuisine - the choice is yours. Those who prefer a more eventful day and want to go for a dance will find a large variety of bars and discos in the close-by Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Or why not go on a nightly torch hike, where you can enjoy the cool evening air and feel the mystical mountains work their magic.

Furthermore, the ski area Garmisch-Classic awaits you with many events like Early Bird Kandahar, K2 grill out, Schneebeben, ski world cup cup competition and Snow down.
