Ski vacations Inzell - Wonderfully quiet family holiday!
Inzell (Chiemgau)
At an altitude of 693 m lies the climatic spa town of Inzell in Chiemgau, between Lake Chiemsee and the Austrian border. The holiday village at Lake Frillensee is especially popular with families because of its great offer of child-friendly activities and institutions such as as the kids' snow park. The winter wonderland of the Bavarian Alps with its snow-capped mountains and glistening mountain lakes are the perfect setting for extensive walks or a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride. When strolling through the pretty village, you can enjoy the clear air and warm up again in one of the restaurants, cafés or bars. The natural ice-rink at Lake Frillensee was converted into the architecturally imposing Max Aicher Arena and hosted the singles World Cup in 2011. No wonder that it is Federal Intensive Training Centre and e.g. the training site of ice-skating stars!Chiemgau
The Chiemgau region is a mostly rural area with a well worth seeing cultural landscape that is rich in tradition. In the South, where the Chiemgau Alps rise up to 1,961 m with the Sonntagshorn, a wonderful mountain world is to be explored! Beautiful mountain lakes, several alp and mountain guest houses, fairy parks and waterparks make this region a favourite for young and old. This vivid tradition makes for a typically Upper Bavarian holiday experience. In winter, the Chiemgau Alps are transformed into a snowy dream landscape for skiers, tobogganers and ice-skaters. Sporting events like the biathlon also attract many visitors to the region during the winter season.Travel Inzell (Chiemgau)
