Cross-country Tegernsee

Information on cross-country skiing

100 km Cross-country trails (in km):

In the Tegernsee cross-country skiing region, 100 kilometres of groomed trails await you in the middle of the Bavarian Alps. The snow conditions are particularly good in the high altitudes around Kreuth, including the 10.9 km long Klamm-Bayerwald-Glashütte trail along the Weißach river and the floodlit Brunnbichl night trail (1.6 km). These scenic routes through romantic valleys, along snow-covered forests and across frozen streams are another reason why the region, which has been awarded the "Nordic Active" label by the German Ski Association (DSV), is popular with classic cross-country skiers and skaters alike.

Breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Tegernsee can be enjoyed on the trails in Gmund with the difficult Gasslerrunde (9.7 km), Rottach-Egern with the medium-difficulty Glocknerwiesn trail (8.5 km) and Bad Wiessee with the Sportplatzrunde (3.5 km). There is a sports shop with cross-country ski hire in all towns in the region and a cross-country ski school in the mountaineering village of Kreuth, where the network of trails extends to the border with Tyrol.
