Anything, from a cosy family descent, right up to a FIS-renowned race slope are to be found at the Feldberg. The longest piste covers 3 km and is called "Rothaus" descent. All pistes have been awarded the German piste quality seal. Children are minded over in two ski kindergartens, and freestylers will also find what they are looking for here. The MINI Snowpark Feldberg is one of the top fun parks in Germany.
Further, there is a 3.2 km long toboggan run, which starts at the Todtnauer hut, and there is even a separate area for snow-kiters, and of course the corresponding snow-kite school.
Night skiing Todtmoos
Apart from regular skiing, Feldberg also offers night skiing in the evening. The nearest floodlit piste for night-time skiing is available in Hinterzarten in the Thoma Ski Centre. From the lifts at Feldberg it's only a stone's throw to this respectable night skiing area. Here, skiing fun at night takes place five times per week from 18:00 to 22:00 on 4 km of night skiing pistes. The family-friendly ski area as well one of the lifts is named after the former Olmypic snow jumper Georg Thoma who was born in Hinterzarten and is known from German television. His family operates several ski schools in Hinterzarten and at Feldberg and makes night skiing something very special.Night skiing is possible in numerous ski areas in the Black Forest. Apart from the pistes in Hinterzarten, there are illuminated pistes in Todtnau's district Muggenbrunn as well as the Stockinger lift in Freudenstadt so that you can enjoy night skiing also in different resorts.
Après ski Todtmoos
If you prefer to spend your afternoons in the fresh air, there are some possibilities to do so. Snowshoe hikes or long walks on the winter hiking trails are perfect for exploring the landscape around Todtmoos - approx. 40 km of trails ensure enough time outdoors. Once per week there is a guided snowshoe hike and torch hike on offer. Let yourself be pampered in the spa areas of the local hotels. For the little ones, there is not only an entertainment programme, but also a play area in the Wehratal hall, with lots of different things to discover: a ball pool with giant building blocks and bobby cars, right up to ping pong tables and table kicker.
In January have a great opportunity to get an insight into dog-sledging sports. The international dog-sledge races take place here annually, with approx. 100 teams and 800 dogs! If your lucky enough, you can watch the teams practise on the Todtmoos-Schwarzenbach training track.
Snowpark: Snowpark Kandelpark Todtmoos
In the little ski areas of the northern Black Forest, such as the Kniebis, there is no snowpark. The "badenova Snowpark" at the Feldberg has unfortunately been closed since the 18/19 winter season. To make up for it, Feldberg has 4 new fun slopes for skiers of all ages. With rapidly steep curves, swinging wave runs and also smaller jumps, these diverse slopes provide for all sorts of fun!
The Kandelpark in Waldkirch is also looking forward to many new visitors. The diverse set up composed of various boxes, rails and several kickers is worth checking out.
