Ski area Plan de Corones

The ski area around Plan de Corones (2,275 m), South Tyrol's no. 1 ski mountain, offers more than just a little skiing fun with the lift pass "Plan de Corones". Thanks to the several snow-making systems, the area is snow-secure from December to April. 121 kilometres of piste and 31 modern lift systems between 973 - 2,275 m provide unforgettable ski enjoyment for big and small.

Beginners, children and families will love the Korer cable car with its 8-person gondola; here you will find a 100 m wide piste with a 160 m difference in altitude. The Plan de Corones is known as a very child friendly ski area with many attractions for the small ones. For instance, "Croniworld" can be found at the peak of Plan de Corones, where parents can watch their children's progress and at the same time enjoy a beautiful 360° panorama.

The "Sylvester" and "Herrnegg" valley runs, however, challenge even experts and experienced alpinists! Two floodlit pistes are available for night skiing. Snowboarders can burn off steam on the half-pipe. No other ski area is so diverse and varied as Plan de Corones! The area is also known as host to various sports events, e.g. Snowboard World Cup, Biathalon World Championship or the international Valle di Casies run, the largest sporting event in South Tyrol.

In order to guarantee the perfect skiing experience, the ski area is regularly upgraded: the popular Sonnenlift was replaced, completely renewed and many new features like heated seats and protective covers were added. The Miara cabins now have free Wi-Fi and the artificial snow-making facilities were improved. In the 19/20 season, the non-detachable Rara chairlift was replaced by the modern "Skitrans Bronta". Since its construction, it has held the title of the shortest 12-seater gondola lift in the world and connects the valley stations of the "Miara" and "Pedagá" gondolas.

For an even greater choice of slopes, you can book an upgrade to the "Dolomiti Superski" lift pass and choose between 1,200 kilometers of slopes, 450 lifts and 24 snow parks! In the "Plan de Corones" ski area, you have access to free Wi-Fi hotspots at many lift pass sales points. If you choose the "Dolomiti Superski" lift pass upgrade, there are also many other hotspots available at cable car stations and restaurants in the various ski areas.
