Ski area Ladurns
Altogether there is one tow and two chair lifts in the Ladurns ski area. For beginners the ski area has a practice piste with three magic carpets and a tow lift, a ski school for all ages and an extensive children's area with supervision. In the Ladurns ski area, parents have the opportunity to enjoy the pistes together while their children learn to ski safely. The northern side of the ski area has wide slopes with a breathtaking view of a fascinating mountain panorama, which are particularly suitable for beginners and advanced skiers. Meanwhile, the more athletic skiers and snowboarders can find their challenge on the black Ladurns IV or the Patrick Staudacher piste. Equally popular to this is the valley run down to Ladurns, which starts at the Ladurnshütte. This 4.5 km long part of a red piste is, for many guests, the highlight of the ski area.
Whenever a break is needed, three different rustic mountain huts will welcome you with open doors. Here the whole family is taken care of and provided with excellent South Tyrolean specialities such as "Kaiserschmarren" with apple purée (type of mashed pancake).
For those who are not interested in the normal pistes anymore, the ski tours can be an exciting alternative, during which you will be athletically challenged in every way. Gossensass and Pflerschtal have a perfect ski tour terrain due to their excellent location on the northern slopes and therefore offer various trails through the snowy valleys and mountains. Additionally, guests can take part in avalanche courses and guided mountain tours.
For those who still cannot get enough, the neighbouring Rosskopf ski area, near Sterzing, offers an additional 15 kilometres of pistes.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.Après ski Gossensass
If you are looking for pure relaxation, the snow-covered "Balneum" sauna area is the right place for you. It is the perfect location to just relax and switch off after a day of skiing. A warm feeling of well-being and cosiness is guaranteed. The entire family is welcome to spend their time in the indoor pool, of course.
Snowpark: Snowpark Gossensass
