Ski area Livigno
The pistes extend on both sides of the valley, so you can always ski in the sun. Freeriders have numerous deep snow options on the Carosello side and the two snow parks on the Mottolino and Carosello provide plenty of fun with half and quarter pipes, numerous kickers, rails and a boardercross course. Thanks to these top fun parks, Livigno is also a regular venue for absolutely spectacular competitions! One of the few black pistes is the Monte Neve-Valfin, otherwise the area is characterised by an easier to intermediate level. Near the village, beginners in particular will find some practice slopes for their first turns. For children, there is a ski kindergarten and several children's areas on the outskirts of Livigno. There is also plenty for the little ones to discover in the ski area, including wave runs and race tracks.
An annual highlight is the "La Skieda" telemark festival, which offers motto parties, introductory courses and equipment tests, and provides a lot of fun. The popularity of the high valley is also accredited to the perfect transition from town to ski area!
In the ski area, 3 free-of-charge Wi-Fi hotspots are at your disposal.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.Night skiing Livigno
When it gets dark and night falls over Italy, it usually means that you get off your skis or snowboards and relax for the rest of the day. However, the pistes in the night ski area in and around Livingo invite you to stay a little longer, and night skiing is offered on selected days. All winter sports enthusiasts who simply cannot get enough can use the pistes until late in the evening. Night skiing is a highlight nobody should miss out on: skiing down perfectly prepared pistes in darkness makes every winter sports fan's heart beat a little faster. Ending the day after night skiing with hot mulled wine, punch or tea leaves nothing to be desired.Après ski Livigno
Further attractive offers include tobogganing, ice skating, ice climbing, 20 km of winter hiking trails, snowmobiling, horseback riding, bowling, billiards, swimming pool and a fitness centre. Those wanting to get to know Livigno's traditional and cultural side can take a tour through the various churches. One of them is from the 17th century and houses interesting art treasures.
Due to its special geographical location, Livigno was declared a duty-free zone - a dream come true for all shopping enthusiasts!
Snowpark: Mottolino und Park 3000 Livigno
The ski area Livigno is very popular with ambitious winter sports fans, as the area is located up to 2,900 m altitude and therefore has guaranteed snow. Of course the freeriders and freestylers will find what they area looking for, too and can powder and shred until they drop. In total there are 2 snow parks which offer full fun on the newest standards.
The "Snowpark Mottolino", which offers 4 lines and a jib area to enforce the riders' creativity, is perfect for exceeding each skill level bit by bit. Whilst the newbies can get started on the S-line, the larger part of the riders can be found on the M-line with many rails, boxes and jumps. If you have been a part of the scene for a while and count to the experienced sort then you should make over to the L/XL-line where you can find everything from photo shootings to spectacular jumps and events. The jib area and the adjacent boardercross run leave enough room for battles on a small scale. Furthermore, the park has its own artificial snow facilities, so nothing should stand in the freestyler's way.
The "Livigno Park 3000" in the Carosello area is similarly structured, with a few differences. An AirBag in the centre of the park minimises the danger of falling and motivating music beats can get you going even before you have hit the snow! All riders have access to Wi-Fi and a chill-out area.
