Ski area Cortina d'Ampezzo

The "Cortina d'Ampezzo" lift pass for the ski area of the 1956 winter Olympics has the right amount of skiing fun for all tastes. On an altitude from 1,224 m to 2,924 m, you have access to 31 lift systems and 120 km of piste.

Those interesterd in the peaks and pistes of the alpine ski competition during the 1956 winter Olympics can try the unique "Olympia" ski tour. Here, skiers can look forward to breathtaking panoramic views and pistes for pure skiing pleasure. On pistes like Tofana or Olympis con Pomedes, winter sports fans can ski down to Umerlo in between peculiar rocks. Below Tofana nearby Pocol, and between Col Druscie, Pomedes and Ra Valles, you will find both easier pistes and steeper slopes. The steep channel below the wild Forcella Staunies at the Cristallo lifts is especially demanding.

In Misurina itself you can look forward to a total of 5 km of piste accessible by 2 lifts. The small but nice area has easy and intermediate pistes, which makes it suitable for beginners and families who prefer a comprehensible ski area.

Freestylers will find a snowpark with jumps, halfpipe, quarterpipe, tables, slides and boardercross at the Socrepes valley station in the Tofana area.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Après ski Misurina

Misurina, the climatic health resort, is a spot of quietude and relaxation. The lake can be surrounded on snow shoe hikes or walks, and you can let yourself be spoiled in the cosy cafés and restaurants.

Those who do not enjoy skiing, can go up the mountain by foot or by snowmobile and sleigh down from Monte Piana or the peak of Tre Cime on a toboggan.

Lake Antorno is only a few minutes away from Misurina. The lake is frozen in winter and invites you to go ice skating. Other activities such as e.g. dog sledge races, ice hockey games, curling- and ice polo competitions take place on the frozen lakes as well.

Snowpark: Cortina Snowpark Misurina

The Tofana area makes a special statement when it comes to freestylers. It does not matter whether you are a skier or snowboarder - the area will disappoint no one. The park-own 4-person chairlift transports guests to kickers, rails and boxes. Separated into two areas, the snowpark offers perfect conditions for beginners and more experienced freestylers on a length of 500 m.

The beginners' area offers kickers with 1 - 6 m tables, a box and a floor rail, so that beginners can learn their first tricks. The Medium line starts with a super kinked box with a 4 m surface and 4 m decline, and then continues with various difficult and spectacular objects as the Pro line.
