Ski vacations Pfelders - car-free village jewel in South Tyrol!
Pfelders
Pfelders is an idyllic mountain village at 1,630 metres above sea level in the Merano region and has just 220 inhabitants. From December to April, the car-free village in South Tyrol is a snow-covered winter wonderland. However, guests who have booked accommodation here can easily drive through a barrier and park directly in front of their accommodation. The ski resort is known for its challenging pistes, where many ski teams train and ski races are held regularly. In addition to skiing, Pfelders offers a wide range of winter sports activities. Ski touring, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking are all on the programme. Horse-drawn carriage rides to the mountain pastures and ice skating are also popular activities. The romantic, snow-covered village atmosphere, with the Maria Hilf church, invites you to take leisurely walks and enjoy peaceful moments. The manageable size and car-free alleyways contribute to the special flair that makes Pfelders so attractive for holidaymakers.Region Merano
The holiday region Merano is an interconnection of 5 very diverse ski area and extends from the western rim, via the southern border, right up to the eastern rim of the nature reserve Texel. The Texel mountain chain is located southern of the border to Tyrol and offers impressive views of the 3,000 m mountains, whereby the Roteck with 3,337 m is the highest of them all. May it be family-friendly, romantic or active all year round with ski tours on the 3,700 m high Schalstal Glacier - Merano could not offer more diversity that it already has. Winter sports fans will find everything they are looking for here. Besides a large number of pistes there are also great freeride opportunities, and the region also offers many more activities, e.g. tobogganing, cross-country skiing, ice-climbing and winter rafting - to only name but a few. Relaxation and recreation is also a not to be missed in Merano. Enjoy a wonderful winter landscape during an idyllic sleigh ride or let yourself be pampered in the spacious spa area of the "Therme Meran".Travel Pfelders
