Plan de Corones (South Tyrol)

At the foot of the Kronplatz mountain (2,275 m), in the middle of the picturesque landscape of the Pustertal, lie the villages Antholz, Geiselsberg, Pfalzen, Rasen, Reischach, Olang and Stefansdorf. Many different sporting events take place here, including the Biathlon World Cup in winter 2008, the Pustertal Ski Marathon, and the Giesertal Run: the largest sporting event in South Tyrol. 103 kilometres of piste, 32 modern lift systems, a half-pipe and ample recreational and sporting opportunities assure a good deal of fun for everyone! This ski resort is also great for families. With an upgrade to the lift pass "Dolomiti Superski", you'll enjoy over 1,220 km of piste accessed by 448 lift systems in 12 ski areas. Kronplatz - South Tyrol's no. 1 ski area!

With its ski area sprawling over 14 villages along the Pustertal, Kronplatz (also known as Plan de Corones) is a fantastic area with a few troughs, lots of forest and wonderful mountain zones. This region earns its reputation as South Tyrol's no. 1 ski area! All of the villages at Kronplatz are located between 813 m and 1244 m. Bruneck is located in the centre of the region and is definitely worth a visit because of its historic buildings, exclusive shops and a lovely pedestrian area. The leisure activities in this area are more diverse than most in the South Tyrol region.

Plan de Corones

At the foot of the Plan de Corones (2,275 m), in the centre of the picturesque Val Pusteria, are 14 diverse and attractive South Tyrolean villages. Modern gondolas start from various stations and speed up to the peak, from which imposing 360-degree views unfold. Diverse sporting events take place here on a regular basis, e.g. the Val Pusteria ski marathons including the Valle di Casies run, the biggest sporting event in South Tyrol. 121 kilometres of piste, approx. 31 modern lifts, a half-pipe, as well as ample recreational and sporting opportunities and lively après ski ensure a good deal off piste! This ski area is also great for families, thanks to numerous facilities such as the "Croniworld".
