Crans Montana
The renowned and popular resort Crans Montana is situated on a sunny plateau on 1,500 m which offers a wonderful panoramic view over Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and the mountain landscape of the Valais Alpes. In 1987, the first alpine ski world championship was organised here, and since then, winter sports competition take place regularly here in the varied ski area at the foot of Plaine-Morte glacier.
