Crans Montana

The renowned and popular resort Crans Montana is situated on a sunny plateau on 1,500 m which offers a wonderful panoramic view over Matterhorn, Mont Blanc and the mountain landscape of the Valais Alpes. In 1987, the first alpine ski world championship was organised here, and since then, winter sports competition take place regularly here in the varied ski area at the foot of Plaine-Morte glacier. Until today, Crans Montana is a magnet to guests from all over the world and presents oneself as a lively resort with a large offer of leisure acitivies. More than 120 shops line the pretty streets. Art galleries, sports shops, fashion boutiques and numerous shops with local producs offer ideal conditions for an extensive shopping stroll. The offer of leisure activities is large: you can go paragliding, tobogganing, ice skating, cross-country skiing and curling, make use of the spa and wellness services. Rhône Valley

Within the mild climate of the lower regions wine, fruit and vegetables are perfectly suited to grow here, whilst the surrounding 4,000-metres peaks have been turned into fantastic ski areas, attracting tourist from all over. The river Rhône is the heart of the valley, giving it it's very own flair - no matter at which time of the year. Deeply crevassed side valleys have created a fascinating landscape over a course of millions of years.
