With two lift connections take you directly from Mörel-Filet to the Aletsch Arena ski area, which offers a total of 104 km of slopes for winter sports fans. In the car-free resort of Riederalp, skiers and snowboards will find mainly blue and red pistes. Especially for beginners, this allows for the opportunity to swap from a red piste to a blue piste, or vice versa.
If you go up higher, you will land in the resort of Bettmeralp. From here you can take the lift to the popular mountain station of Bettmerhorn (2,647 m), where skiers can enjoy a breathtaking view of of the Aletsch Glacier. At the Bettmerhorn there is also the opportunity to ski through a tunnel slope, which leads to a demanding black piste. Another challenge is the run from Eggishorn to the resort of Fiescheralp – a black and steep piste.
If you take the valley run down to Fiesch during the main season, you can secure a few extra hours skiing. The lift pass is not just valid during the day, but also in the evenings for the ski area's night skiing slope located here.
Of course there are also slopes in the Aletsch Arena where kids – sometimes on skis for the first time – have the possibility to practice skiing. If you are trying out skiing for the first time, families with children should head to the children and family lift Blätz, located on a few minutes away from Fiesch. The resort is a popular meeting place for families.
Also well recommended are the numerous, professionally led ski tours in the Valasi UNESCO World Heritage site. Through these, you will experience a very special side of the mountain scenery of the Aletsch Arena for a day, a weekend or even a whole week.
