Cross-country Mürren

In the Lauterbrunnen valley, on the other side of Tschuggen mountain in Grindelwald, a small but impressive cross-country network stretches out over about 30 km length. Even here, the relaxing trails can be glided along in front of the peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains, making for a special experience like no other.

An approx. 12 km train runs through the bottom of the valley from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg. Along the white Lütschine river and iced-over waterfalls all the way into the back of the Lauterbrunnen valley, you can test out the trails by leisurely gliding along or even skating at a sportier pace. This trail in particular is unique in that it is the first cross-country trail in Switzerland that provides its skiers with a time-measuring system, just like in cycling. This way, ambitious cross-country skiers can measure their best times and access their data in an online ranking list. Use of this trail is free with the "Gästekarte" guest card.
