Ski area Corviglia
The "Corviglia" ski area (incl. Piz Nair and Marguns) is known as one of the most popular winter sporting areas and is waiting for you to come and discover its 155 km of diverse piste and 24 lifts. Those of you who can manage to strap on your skis early enough will find it well worth the effort when standing on the Piz Nair (3,057 m) during sunrise - a breathtaking panoramic view as well as freshly prepared pistes are all yours to enjoy. The "White Carpet" in particular is an absolute must here! For the experts among us, this 2 km long Olympic run is highly recommended. Race down this high-speed piste Nr. 7 into Corviglia. Upon reaching the end, your time will be digitally displayed for you. On a more relaxing note, leisure skiers can expect to find what they're looking for in the Suvretta area with the Paradiso piste opposite the "ChillOut Riding Zone" - for all who prefer things a little more laid back. This piste, by the way, is also the first yoga piste in the world. This area is not just for yogis, though. Freestylers will definitely get their money's worth here in the Corviglia Snow Park, known as one of the best fun parks in Europe, which is to be found on the slope heading towards Marguns with rails, boxes, corners and hits. Every Friday during the Snow Night in Corvatsch, night owls will finally find their scene. Keep the adrenaline going on the longest illuminated piste in Switzerland and afterwards, head over to one of the snow bars or huts and watch night turn into day. At many of the mountain stations, you'll have access to a free Wi-Fi hotspot.
Looking for more? Another little alternative to the mainstream fun is the Survih ski lift, directly on the edge of Samedan. It takes you to a small practice piste with a 1 km run, which is perfect for chidlren and beginners and is therefore loved by ski school. Families can leave their little ones to take on the snow with trustworthy skiing instructors.
Après ski Samedan
In the Promulins Arena, a 58 x 28 m large artificial ice rink awaits guests looking for indoor fun: Ice skaters, curlers and trainers, as well as figure skaters and hockey players can all strap on their skates and test out the ice. When weather conditions allow it, a natural ice rink is also available. Here, little polar bears, as well as ice princesses and princes, help tots enjoy their first time on the ice.
Numerous taverns, hotels and restaurants make sure to provide a culinary highlight in Samedan. The wide variety of national and international dishes will please even the pickiest eater. In the stylish wine bar or the Gifthüttli bar, residents mesh together with guests to round off the day with a nightcap. In the neighbouring area of St. Moritz, further evening activities can be found in the form of après ski parties in the bars, or a night of chance up in the stylish, highest-lying casino in Switzerland.
Snowpark: Corviglia Snowpark Crowland Samedan
St. Moritz certainly has something to offer for all ambitious winter sports fans. Do you love perfectly prepared pistes just as much as an adrenaline rush? Then you've come to the right place: the Corviglia Snow Park "Crowland" leaves no wish unfulfilled!
Just next to the Corviglia mountain station, on the slope facing Marguns, a real freestyle paradise awaits that, just like the rest of the region, impresses with its class and diversity. One easy and one medium line, decorated with a total of 30 various obstacles, provide an optimal set-up for beginners and intermediates. Kickers with 5-10 m tables, diverse boxes and rails, wallrides and rollers draw freestylers in as well as give experts a place to challenge one another.
A half pipe and a bag jump can be found at the Snowpark Corvatsch, at the Murtèl middle station.
