Ski vacations Savognin – Wide pistes and family-friendliness!

Savognin

The idyllic resort of Savognin lies at 1,200 m altitude in Kanton Graubünden. The Rhaeto-Romanic village, with its magnificent Grison-style houses, some of which are centuries old, is the main town of the vast high valleys of the Surses Valley, as well as the #1 holiday region in Graubünden. 3 stately churches dominate the cityscape, whereby the Baroque church, Son Martegn, with its incredible ceiling paintings, is the most famous. This location is otherwise known for its hearty, locally-produced Savognin mountain cheese. Thanks to the tranquil ambience in Savognin, you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the brilliant winter wonderland. If you're a culture-lover, make sure you go on a "culture walk through the village", and experience more about the development of the area and its infrastructure over the centuries. You can also expect lots of winter sport fun!

If you are more into active, sporting activities, you can find a large selection of hikes, cross-country tracks, toboggan runs like the Schlittada Run, and a specially made Fun Zone, with unique, fun sporting possibilities all available to try out. The holiday region also boasts the Swiss seal "families welcome", of which parents are thankful due to the many amenities available to take care of creating the perfect family paradise.

Surses

The Julia River flows through the valley of Surses (1200 m), which lies between Tiefencastel and the Julier Mountain Pass and stretches over an area of almost 325 km². The landscape is really diverse; on one side are the rugged mountains and deep gorges, whereas the other side offers wide, prepared pistes, with a total length of over 100 km. You also have the possibility to go hiking, on one of the many winter hiking trails or take part in a guided snow shoe hike! The Surses valley also has several toboggan runs on offer, which really is a delight for children!
