In Bad Gastein itself, there are around 16 km of groomed cross-country ski trails, offering something for every cross-country skiing taste. The 16 kilometres include both skating and classic trails. The 5.5 km long Böckstein cross-country trail is floodlit until 21:00.
A total of around 36 km of track are available in the entire Gastein Valley, which are perfectly connected by a long valley run! Also very lovely is the trail in Angertal, which offers landscape highlights. The high-altitude trail at Sportgastein is located at approx. 1,600 m altitude and offers great views and high snow security, and is also the longest trial in the Gastein region. Here you will also find a cross-country centre with changing rooms, hire opportunities and cross-country ski schools. Floodlight skiing can be done in Bad Gastein and in the park grounds of Bad Hofgastein.
When visiting the cross-country school in Bad Gastein, you also have the chance to peek into biathlon. For training purposes, there is even a laser-biathlon range on the grounds of the school.
Use of the cross-country ski trails in Bad Gastein is not included in the lift pass. A day ticket must be purchased on site.
