Location and facilities
The comfortable 4-Star Hotel Sonngastein lies in a quiet spot in the district of Badbruck.The ski bus that stops directly in front of the hotel comfortably takes you to the Schlossalmbahn (approx. 6 km). Apart from that you can also use the hotel's shuttle bus, and a cross-country track is approx. 200 m away. The centre of Bad Gastein with its numerous shops and restaurants is located approx. 1.5 km away. The personally-run family hotel offers you an entrance area with reception, lift, fireplace lounge, restaurant, piano bar, Wi-Fi (in the lobby, incl.) and ski room.Use of the fitness and spa area with sauna, organic steam sauna, thermal indoor pool as well as two heated thermal outdoor pools, two relaxation rooms and participation in the spa relax programme with for example "aquafun" gymnastics, stretching, as well as spinal and back exercises is available for free. Solarium, massages and beauty centre can be used for a fee.
Children (4 - 16 years) can have fun in the play paradise at 1,600 m², with e.g. trampolines, inflatable bouncy castle, climbing frames and much more. Moreover, children and teenagers from 3 - 15 years of age are welcome to the childcare service, including lunch (juice stand, children's potions, 5 x per week, 10:00-16:00 and 16:30-20:30). The hotel has its own natural ice rink (incl. ice skate hire), hotel cinema as well as an attractive week programme with for example ski safari, winter hikes and much more. Free-of-charge parking spaces and a payable parking garage can also be used.

The half board PLUS included in the holiday price comprises a breakfast buffet, a light afternoon buffet as well as a 4-course evening meal(wholefood) with a salad buffet. Several times per week, themed evenings take place, e.g. a farmers' buffet, gala dinner or italian buffet. 3 x per week a cheese buffet is served, 2 x per week a fruit buffet, and once per week a "Strudel" buffet. Special festive menus at Christmas (24/12 - 26/12/2015) as well as the New Year's dinner with dance music, midnight snack and the New Year's brunch are also included.Pets

Important notes
- Children under 6 years use the lifts for free. Should your child be using the lifts independently in other ski areas, a Minicard (lift pass) has to be acquired locally.
