Ski area St. Gilgen/Zwölferhorn

In St. Gilgen, enter the ski area on the Zwölferhorn with a total of 7 km of prepared pistes. With the local lift, you can reach the mountain directly, and from there you can ride along the several blue and easily navigable red pistes. The longest piste is the Talabfahrt, which extends over 5 km towards St. Gilgen. The area is a well-kept secret, ideal for skiers and snowboarders who prefer lots of room to comfortably ride down the pistes. Somewhat off to the side of the valley station is the special beginners area, which can be reached by car or by foot. From here, the Laimer lift takes you to an especially wide practice piste for first-timers. Additionally, the local ski school is situated next to the lift, where private lessons can also be booked.

For ski tour-goers, the community of Strobl offers two quite lovely paths through the mountainous landscape of the Postalm. A 2.5 hour tour treks from the Postalm to the Pitscherberg, of which should pose no difficulties for beginners. West of the Postalm, another tour, this one easier than the previous mentioned, heads towards the Ladenberg, of which can be achieved in 1.5 hours. Runs are possible on the eastern and southern flanks.

Après ski Wolfgangsee

All around the Zwölferhorn, several huts invite guests in during and after a day's skiing. In the mountain lift station, the panoramic restaurant "Naturkuchl 12er Horn" offers you the best views from their sun terrace. On the Sausteigalm, hearty dishes and sweets can be found in Franzl's Hütte, an der Weisswand, and the Bartl Hütte, all with their own panoramic views. Whoever is already on their way to the recommendable "Illingeralmrunde" should definitely not pass the Jausenstation Illingeralm by.

After the lift circuit, the next stop is the valley, where diverse restaurants, cafes, and bars help you spend your afternoon and evening in good company. Confection culture is celebrated in the Mozart coffee "Nannerl". A cosy, homey feeling arises in the sweetly furnished cafe-bar "Echt Heimat", of which offers wifi. For party goers, be sure to check out the 12er Alm bar. This hotspot is stylishly furnished and has been the best nightlife location in the valley since 1958. For those who prefer a quieter evening, "Grammophon" is the place for you, where you can enjoy your evening with a cold beer, billiards, table tennis, and darts.

Snowpark: Snowpark Wolfgangsee

In the little ski area of Zwölferhorn, there is no snow park to be found. However, on the Postalm, in the nearby ski area of Strobl, a 900 m boarder cross-track can be found. Besides that, you can make use of the fun park and enjoy tubing, air boarding, and snow scootering with various devices located just 300 m down the piste.
