Cross-country Bad Tabarz

Cross-country entertainment in Tabarz comprises approx. 21 km of prepared track all around the Inselberg and the resort. The trails are designed for classic style, but there are also section for skating style. Recommended for experienced skiers is the trail No. 37, with its 11 km total length. The track which runs just above the Lauchengrund offers a considerable incline along the way and hence is more suitable for experts. At the Tanzbuche it also offers a connection to the ski hiking trails all around the area. However, be prepared: these 8.7 km are definitively not for beginners!

Beginners and leisure time skiers can enjoy a round track on the Datenbergwiese. This trail is 1.5 km long and leads through flat areas and through the resort itself. A further easy trail runs along the Datenberg promenade and past a climbing park in the forest. The easiest access to this trail can be found at the Schweizerhaus.
