Ski vacations Bolzano - gateway to the Dolomites!

Bolzano

Whether you prefer a nice stroll through the picturesque historical old town or a visit to the Stone Age man "Ötzi" in the archaeological museum - the state's capital Bozen offers something for everyone! Thanks to its central location between Eissack and Etschtal, many of South Tyrol's famous ski areas are within easy reach. The valley station of the gonodola belonging to the Rittner Horn ski area is very close to town so that you don't even need a car to go on your ski trip.

And if you don't like to spend your time on the pistes but still get your nose out into the fresh winter air, can have a good on one of the sign-posted winter hiking tracks. The Dolomites, which are part of the World Natural Heritage since 2009, offer incredible landscapes!

Province of Bolzano

In the Southern Alps, embedded in midst of the beautiful Dolomites and the Sarentino, lies the province Bolzano. The region is known as the melting pot of the Austrian, German and Italian cultures and offers a broad and diverse entertainment offer for its guests. The proximity to the surrounding ski areas, as well as the good tourism infrastructure make this region one of the most popular travel destinations. Panorama winter walking trails lead across a high plateau, so you have the chance to enjoy the fresh air and crunchy snow also if you are not actively on the piste. The many cosy huts attract their guests with lovely sun terraces.
