Ski area Ski carousel Alta Badia

The ski carousel Alta Badia, i.e. the interconnected ski area, stretches between Corvara, La Villa, San Cassiano and the high altitude plateau Pralongià-Cherz, which also includes the world famous Sella Ronda. At an altitude of 1,324 - 2,550 m there are approx. 130 km of piste, a true paradise for ambitious skiers. The mostly easy and intermediate runs are perfect for beginners and families, but also for the pros amongst you. The two black pistes "Gran Risa" in La Villa, which was used for the men's World Cup giant slalom race and the "Vallon" in Corvara are real highlights. If you're a real adrenaline junkie then don't look away: there a good freeride possibilities and the snowpark with its integrated fun run offers perfect conditions for a speedy descent. For the little guests there is a big children's practice area at Colfosco. The perfect mix of great piste conditions, higher than average sunny days as well as top of the notch lifts make a skiers heart beat faster.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Après ski Pedraces

Pedraces has lots to offer when it comes to off-piste activities. It is known for its delicious gastronomy where your palate is in for a treat, and where you can relax with a cool drink after a long day. From cosy tea houses to lively evenings in Pubs and the traditional "Tyrolean Parlours" - everyone finds what suits them best. If you prefer to stay physically active, around 80 km of winter hiking trails invite for a stroll. The unique scenery of the Pisciadú Waterfalls will leave you stunned, snowshoe hikers can follow wild animal's tracks. Three different toboggan runs in Corvara, San Cassiano and Wengen/La Val add to the opportunity to explore the Alta Badia region. A floodlit piste is there to keep those with itchy feet on your skis and boards till the late hours. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Snowpark: Snowpark Alta Badia and PlaygroundSNOW Pedraces

Those who live true to the motto "no risk, no fun" will come across a real highlight here. The "Snowpark Alta Badia" offers several jumps and rails to get your heart pumping. No matter if beginners or intermediates, at the Piz Sorega Plateau between the pistes La Fraina and Ciampai, you can really get going. The upper area is more suitable for newbies to practise their first jumps, such a great offer there! For all those that want to compete with like-minded people, the "Bioch Piste" is constantly maintained. The fun run "PlaygroundSNOW" between the piste and the snowpark waits up with freestyle elements with steep curves, roller coasters, and quarter pipes. Come by and play!
