Ski vacations Sarntal - Adventures on the sunny side of the piste!
Sarntal
Sarntal not only gives its name to a mountain section, but with 7,900 inhabitants it is also the largest municipality in South Tyrol in terms of area. The main town is Sarnthein, 20 kilometres north of Bolzano. Surrounded by imposing mountain peaks, the Sarntal Valley, first mentioned in documents in 1142, stretches 45 kilometres through the South Tyrolean mountains. Visitors can expect a picturesque landscape with dense forests, wide alpine pastures and clear streams. In charming villages such as Reinswald with its ski area, an almost 900-year-old culture has been preserved to this day. In addition to traditional livestock farming, the original Sarntal dialect, traditional costumes and, of course, South Tyrolean cuisine are still practised here! Thanks to its central location, Val Sarentino can be reached in less than 30 minutes by car from Bolzano and in less than an hour from Merano (50 km).Province of Bolzano
In the Southern Alps, embedded in midst of the beautiful Dolomites and the Sarentino, lies the province Bolzano. The region is known as the melting pot of the Austrian, German and Italian cultures and offers a broad and diverse entertainment offer for its guests. The proximity to the surrounding ski areas, as well as the good tourism infrastructure make this region one of the most popular travel destinations. Panorama winter walking trails lead across a high plateau, so you have the chance to enjoy the fresh air and crunchy snow also if you are not actively on the piste. The many cosy huts attract their guests with lovely sun terraces.Travel Sarntal
