Ski area Štrbské Pleso

Nearby Lake Štrbské Pleso, located on the broad slopes of Predné Solisko mountain (2,903 m), you can find the family-friendly ski area Štrbské Pleso, which is also the highest located in Slovakia! A total of approx. 6 km of piste spread over 13 slopes. The easy blue slopes can be found in the lower area, and partly lead through forests. The red pistes are a little more demaning and are located above the tree line, in the steeper area. The longest run is called "Solisko 1", leading from the highest point in the ski area to the new midway stay, goes over into the "Esicko" piste and then leads to the valley station on a total of 3.4 km.

Beginners and little children can practise their snow plough and other techniques in the Maxiland ski school nearby Talboden, located on a beginner's slope with magic carpet. Below the impressive ski jumping hills there also is a snowtubing run as well as a ski service centre with ski school nearby.

In the 2014/15 winter season, the 6-person chairlift Interski started operation. The lift leads from the valley station to the Furkota lift's midway station on an altitude of 1,549 m. Like this, the blue and the red valley run can be accessed with only one chairlift.

Après ski Štrbské Pleso

The magnificent nature of the High Tatras invites you to enjoy the silence and let your spirits flow while taking a walk around lake Štrbské pleso. With a little luck, animal lovers may glimpse chamoises or groudhogs despite the thick layer of snow. Active winter sports fans can explore the wild on snow shoe routes, can skate a few rounds on the ice rink "Aréal Snow", or hike to the nearby Prendné Solisko (2,093 m). From its edges you'll have a wonderful view over the valleys Mlynická and Furkotská dolina.

A popular type of family sports at lake Štrbské pleso is night tobogganing. Slide down the floot-lit run in the dusk and warm up with steaming hot drinks in one of the cafés. A well-loved meeting point after the last run is the "Stan Bar", an umbrella bar where you can sit on wooden barrels on warm fur and can let your day come to an end.

If you're looking for more diverse offers to spend your evenings, the approx. 22 km distant Tatranská Lomnica is worth a visit. With "Humno", a multipurpose location was created in the local ski centre, offering all at once: restaurant, apres ski bar, disco and cocktail bar. Together with your friends and family you can try out Slowakian specialities, have a great drink and enjoy the party.

Snowpark: Snowpark Štrbské Pleso

The ski area Štrbské Pleso awaits freeriders with a wonderfully shaped snowpark suitable for sporty, but also less experienced freestylers and boarders. There are two platforms for different expectations. The highlight in the upper area is a rather steep 5 m loop, and street rails and boxes at various levels of difficulty invite you to jib.

In the lower section, butter boxes and kickers with different heights cater for awesome jumps. The shapers think of something new every season so that the offer is continuously extended. You'll be surprised which obstacles await you this season!
